I was originally going to plant 50 but that's going to be to much and the woods around here are not very big. Would 30 be alright? I want to at least yield a pound.
How many plants should I plant for my first grow?

but yea conditions do play a hugh role, that and genetics, when I grew out door we plan ahead so we had small 3 weeks old seedlings ready for the spring, if summer where perfect (In in Scandinavia) we could grow plants close to one pound tho 1/2 a pond where more normal, but we did`t grow em the gorilla way, we use our back garden, in a small wood I would find two good spots and grow a handful in each place, dig a 1x1x1 foot hole and fill it with some good soil with some nutrients in it and maybe add some nutrients sticks/balls in the bottom, only visit them early in the morning if others have access to the wood ? maybe tie em down to make em look anything like weed (a tall weed plant can easily be seen and spotted from long away, even I have been 2 foot away from a tied down plant and not discover it before my friend told me
) water in the morning if needed ..

plant 50 and half will be male,some will get eaten by deer,groundhogs,bugs and other forest creatures, if your lucky they wont be found or stolen you might get a lb, plant as many as u can!

What this person said. Half will be males. So your 50 just got cut down to 25. It'll also give you room to play around with plants and practice topping, femming and training to get your feet wet. Also gives you a little room to experiment and play with nutes a bit. Like lets say if you're not sure if you can give them nutes yet you can always just feed a few of them and see how they react etc. Then hit the rest next time around you know?
