How many plants?

Alright well i have a closet thats 2 1/2 feet wide and anywhere from 4 to 6 feet long and 7 feet high my problem is not sure how many plants i should fit in there and how tall should i grow them and im using a 400 watt hps ballast with a mh bulb but gonna get the hps when i need to flower and there gonna cut clones in the next few days so i need some input on how many plants and what method to do it i'm thinking sog to concentrate on the top cola cause its only a 400 watter but yet again i might be wrong and also what would produce the largest yeild i could get so i can put the most money back into a larger op for you guys to help me with that is if i dont smoke it all and please dont refer me to another thread cause i looked and most the closets my size are hydro and thats just not an option for me right now cause i wouldnt want to fuk my first crop up cause im just tryna get off the ground here to try bigger and better things well thanx for all the help in advance

6 plants total in the end if you use 3 gallon pots. the big limiter is the light, its effective at about a 3'x3' area. If you give each plant 1.5 square feet of space ( about the size of the pot) that how many fit. You will flower when they are about 18"-24" tall.

Root clones in small cubes or pucks,transplant to 4inch pots,veg.3-4weeks,transplant to a 1 gallon pot,Flower.the rule is 1 plant per sq.ft.

so put them into flowering at 18" so lookin at i think 4 foot plants and what type of method should i use or just let em grow thanx

dude you can grow one or two big plants happily with the 400w

4 plants medium sized happily
6+ small plants
(depending on what size they are)

like ppl have said its the matter of light
some ppl on this site are growing some nice bigger plants under 400w lights

you could always grow your plants to a certasin height and put them outside to bud allowing you to keep cloning your mother and continue production.
the buds are good they look likr hydro and seem to have the best characteristics of each i have found

this is my favourite way (i find it just produces nice lookin smoking buds when done right)

ppl here seem a bit one minded and turn there nose upat this but im telling you it works damn good when you do it right

the dude dont even have propper white, or anufn too reflective not even foil
the rooms big, and got other shit in it.

now think if you made a good box, had reflective or propper white walls what you could grow in there if you took care of it.

this bloke done well for what hes done it was just an easy quick grow to get himself some smoke,

now with just this example think of what you could do with a bit more control (remember unless they autoflower they wont bud untill you want them too in a kit)

if your a noob i recomend going for
1 big
2/3 medium
4+ small plants

although im the kinda prson that thinks practice makes perfect and me and ma mates hae had our problems growing and i can guarantee we will probly have more over time
anythings possible. but hey iwasjust telling you what you can strive for.

one of ma mates used to have a 600 or 700 watt light cant remember it was something like that he used to grow 4 huge plants, he coulda done more but his grow room only allowed for 4 huge plants

mind you he was gettin nothing even close to huge when he first started

If it were me i would fill the whole bottome with 30 clones and hang the light vertically and lollipop all the plants. I have seen people produce 1/2 ounce plants out of 16 oz red drinking cups.... 30 plants at 1/2 ounce is almost a pound... If it were me, i owuld sog with the bigger gatorade bottles or route 44oz cups from sonic. Theres a guy ruuning sog cfls with 430ish watts pulling 10grams a plant with 16 oz cups... When some one says something on this board, people are to quick to hop on the bandwagon and repeat it. Everyone saiys that you alot of root space, but in reality, to his her own,,,

yeah i recently got told the diffrence beetween SOG and growing big plants the turnover differance is quite considerable. but see theres one of my answers proven thats wa over 6+ small plants like i said depends on the size. im not daydreaming

umm i only grow bigger plants cos i like watching them grow.
i actually preffer outdoor or ultimately weed thats started in the kit and finished outdoors

this however seems to excite a lot of contraversy on RIU but for us it works perfect in australia.

bro listen. U can flower up to 4 plants per sq.ft.with a 400 watt hps u could easily grow 16 plants in a 4 foot square area and expect exceptional results. at least 400 grams if done properly according to countless growers results.

The method of growing them is the key. Check out al b fucts threads located in the hydro section. he explains this method and his techniques precisely. And his results cant be waivered.

I reccomend u scrap the soil growing and go to hydro. Alot of work in to much space combined with time working against harvet.
Ive seen an awesome coco grow that can be comparible to hydro. so dont get me wrong these same results are achievable on an expert level.
But if u want an easy hydro method that is very simple to grow in i would reccomend DWC just look it up.
