How many tokers are smokers?

Hi... My name is GreenHog and I'm a smokaholic. Nicotine is a psychological addiction and a physical addiction just like heroin. Withdrawl from nicotine is not as bad as heroin, but the rituals from smoking cigs does add an extra edge to the quitting process.
Ironically, pot is mainly psychologically addictive.

I quit about 5 years ago, the next year my dad died from lung cancer, he smoked 4-5 packs a day. I smoked for well over 20 years and I have to say cigarettes really suck.

i smoke about a pack and a half a day of cigarettes , and about a 1/4ounce of chronic every 2-3 days (if i got to resort to smoking schwag like now its a 1/4o EVERY day:().

I love my ciggy's. And yes i know there bad but i get enjoyment out of it. Nothing like sitting down with a hot cup of coffee and a cancer stick first thing in the morning:blsmoke:

Hank.

Ah, I tried to like cigarettes as a teenager thinking they were a good stress reliever and such but I never gravitated toward the taste of it. Also, in high school I smoked a pack a day for a month to test whether or not nicotine addiction is a physical dependency. My results: not a chance. I am a firm believer that for the most part addiction is mental and part of a persons' personality, therefore certain people are more likely to start smoking and continue whereas I started and stopped right away.

I have nothing against cigarettes at all, just not my type of smoke. Plus, people should be able to imbibe any substance so long as doing so does not infringe on anyone elses right to do so.

about a pack a day for me.

but: if i were able to smoke pot in public..... I'd be done smoking ciggs..... I only do because I can't enjoy the herb out in public.

You'll find its easier to smoke in public than you think. I walk from work to my house, smoking two joints along the way. It really depends on the type of neighbourhood you are typically in.
