How much calmag???

So I'm on my 1st hydro grow and I'm using RO water at 2ppm. The ladies just popped 10 days ago and I'm using 1/4 strength nutes. The question is... do I run calmag at 1/4 strength also? How many PPMs of calmag should I be shooting for. My total PPMs are at 254PPM when mixing 1/4 strength... is this enough? I so new to this style and only ever used tap water before

why do you want to add anything to your nutrients?
looks a bit small for ten days in a block...whats your feed?
remember the block adds nothing nutritional to the plant, thats entirely up to you.

I'm currently using Cutting Edge Solutions at 1/4 strength at 254ppm, my environment isn't ideal at the moment as I don't have auto ventilation so my humidity has been in the 40% area due to the fact that I'm also flowering in the same room.... separate tents. As soon as the others are done drying(4-5days) I'll be switching them to my 4×4 with my new hydro setup

That cutting edge is a 3part correct?
I wouldn’t add any calmag right now. If later on the plants show Ca deficient you can just bump up the Micro levels in your formula. If short on the Mg add some epsom salt. Or add Calmag if you really wamt to.
not sure what 1/4 strength is of the formula you’re using or what scale 254ppm(assuming .5/500)is at, but if it’s around 0.5 EC that’ll do until they get a little bigger.

Yes the cutting edge is a 3 part, but they have calmag and silica as well. I'm just so new to this hydro stuff. I can grow an award winner in soil but this is so different

So with the cutting edge, it recommends maximum of 33% strength with my RDWC method. I mixed up a gallon of full strength just to get total numbers of ppm and and ph. Full strength on seedling dose is around 950ppm! That's crazy!! I'll post pic of feed chart to make it easier

the feed chart isnt clear to me.
never heard of your method...but that means next to nothing as far as whats being done or what works.
"hugo" is the trade name of the 6" rockwool block.
"1020" is the plastic tray your using...it looks like one. 10"x20".
indoor in 6" blocks, drip irrigation, drain to waste is my preferred method.

Okay thanks for the clarification. So my method WILL BE RDWC... im currently in the rockwool and tray waiting on my previous bounty to finish drying, once that happens I will sanitize and setup the RDWC, I'm just limited on space so that's how it's got to be for a few more days... But man let me tell you.. im super excited... I went all out I think on this setup, bought a stealth RO system and water chiller and all that good stuff

CES are very similar to GH 3 part.

i think a 1:1:1 ratio is great for vegging. start off with a low EC and work your way up as the plant gets bigger.

make sure your feeding for your CURRENT grow method, not what it will be when you set it up for the long run.
see if your nutes mfg has a chart for drain to waste in rockwool.

I would run 1/4 base grow nutes until plant was a out 3 weeks old. Otherwise, adding cal mag in small amounts every other plain watering is desired.
