How much do oil filled heaters cost to run?

Like per month extra on your bill.
Depends on how long it's actually on and the cost of your power. The heaters usually just come on for 10 min then off when their built in thermostat switches them. I put a watt meter on mine and it was off a lot more than it was on so was only running about 15% of the time. I prefer a radiant heater over the oil filled ones as the oil filled take quite while to warm up the room so the temp will drop lower than I want before warming up again. They do hold their temp longer tho.

I wired up a baseboard thermostat that my heater plugs into so I leave the thermostat on my heater at max but only one side turned on so it's 750W when it runs. When that element finally burns out I can switch the other one on and get a few more years out of it.

This is the unit here. Got it at a garage sale new 5 years ago for $20 and would work perfect in a tent grow as it takes up very little space and has a built in fan you can have on or off. I bought and mounted that 500W baseboard heater behind it but turned out it's 240V and barely got warm when I wired it to 120. lol Have a 240 cord that I just haven't got around to wiring to my breaker box and running into the room yet. It can wait until the heater I'm using dies.

Tube Heater with Digital Timer look good on amazon, the only part of the room you need to keep warm is the pots/roots, one of these between the pots would be good, use less electric and you get better results.

No link? Doesn't sound like a usable thing to me. Have 7 pots now and sometimes a lot more so how to configure so all get some heat? I keep the room at 75 all the time so the pots are warm enough.

Just so you know Screwfix do a 500w oil rad for £19.99.

I am quite lucky living in the far SW of England, our day time temps don't go below 10℃ very often, so my tent temps are fine during lights out. The lights keep things nice during lights on.
I live in the southeast and the temps stay above 10c most the year, my plants seem to suffer if the night temps fall below 16c.
