I know a few people who did methadone for various reasons and all said it's harder to get off methadone than herion itself.
I don't know what I'll do when this isn't enough any more, but I don't think that's it unless I run out of other options.
I've tried everything, truth is nothing really works that well long term.
I have fibromyalgia as well as several crushed vertibrae and disks. The problem with fibro though is it's a weird pain to try and combat because on the one hand it's real just like the bad back, but on the other hand it's not specific to one body part and nobody really knows the cause. It's more about the nerves and brain misfiring and misinterpreting things than it is like something you can effectively medicate away for very long.
My body seems to get used to opiates too fast and are really only effective for the first couple months anyway. At best I could get a break from the pain now and then.
While MJ isn't very effective for pain directly it has been the most effective thing I've tried long term as far as making the pain bearable, and making life more liveable and enjoyable.
