How much do you get from your 600w HPS grows!!!!

Im trying to compare here and see if im getting a good harvest amount from a 600w HPS. This time i got 8.5 oz (dry) of high grade smoke. Should i be shooting for more?? What do other people get from their 600w grows?

And thanks, this info will help me a lot by letting me know if im doing good or not.

I'm also interested in this since i just started a grow with a 600w.. 30 plants (still veg so no idea how many females or hermies).

Was this grow in soil? How many plants?

this was a hydro grow, 10 plants

i'm still a paranoid freak about electricity useage, i have a 150w hps in the mail, i'll let you know what my yield is in july. just multiple by 4... bwahaha

im sorry i cant report a definite amount because i just put a huge bushy mother with 25 tops in a 5 gal bucket under 2 600's on a light mover. im kinda curious to see what people tell you cuz id like to get a ball park on what to expect.

hydro is kinda weird, it all depends on how big they are, how long you had them under the lights, 4 weeks veg. - 9 weeks flower = 4 ounces. 3 weeks veg - 5 weeks flower = 1 1/2 ounces. So you see the differences, its big. The reason why is cuz it all depends on how long your cycle lasts, if its longer, more bud, less = less. Get my point yet ?

Of course the yield would suck if you'd flower for only 5 weeks, why would anyone want to do that?? I'm not so sure how much 3 or 4 weeks of veg does for yield, would be interesting to know.

if done right, a maximum yield should produce 1g for every watt.

ya supposedly, but i haven't read one thing from anyone saying they get anywhere near that. So i was hoping for some real life accounts and numbers from people...not just some grow book hearsay.

honestly i think it's how long you vegg for. Currently mine are vegging under a 600 watt, but once i start flowering i am adding a 1000 watt hps.

during the winter i grow inside using 2 600 watt lights HPS. i use a NFT hydro system with 50 plants in it and i get roughly 1000 grams. i put the clones in at 5" tall and go straight into flowering. i grow headband and sour diesel right now they both yield good.

thats good to know...do you find that doing more shorter plants yeilds more than less plants that have been vegged to grow bigger?

I'm growing 5 plants under one 600 HPS, two different strains. Two plants are have about a week left, and the other three are monsters and have another 5 weeks to go. I guarantee that I will harvest more than 600 grams off of all of them when I'm done. It all depends on how long you let them veg for, what you feed them, how you feed them, how often you feed them, and the conditions of your space. I have a friend who harvested 1 plant last month grown in doors, an 11 foot monster, and took 800 grams from her. best of luck

I do grow with a 600watt hps light
and im curious to see how my babys are gonna give me now
there 2 weeks into flowering
8 afgani white widow plants
got like 2month and a half veg
so we will see
1 of my plants is already fukin fat buds
and only 2 week flowering. cant wait !

dude herby, tell me more..i need to be getting pulls like that. How long do you veg? I usually veg for 3-4 weeks. - tell me your ways! I got a pretty simple nute schedule going, some good part A, and B...and bigbud and overdrive at the end. got any tips?

I grow under 600 W HPS...I use Pro Mix in 2 gallon pots.....I grew 5 C-99's and 5 Ak-47's...started from clones 10 days veg and into 12 hr....56 days of flowering gave me close to 12 ounces....The Ak-47 is a primo plant....powerful smoke......Grow on

So your saying the longer your veg period the better your yield?im interested coz I just vegged my fruit tingles 7 weeks haha and they are beastsssss lol yewww

Super old thread, but harvested 550+ grams of quality bud from one plant under a 600w HPS that only cost $150

If you aren't pulling a pound + from a 600 HPS you doing something wrong.
