It's a legitimate viewpoint to treat this like a hobby. My only gripe was with your attitude towards others who were trying to gain an honest accounting of their activities.

Rented space 750.00 x 4 = 3,000
ConEd avg 400 x 4 = 1.200
Tolls/fuel 120.00 x 4 480
That's 4,680 divided x 4 = 1,170 per LB

AC, Fans, pumps, (1-250 HPS for mama((2k HPS, 70-75 Day Strain)

Add to that 12 rock wool slabs and cubes, nutes, Ozium, ect. That's how I came up with with 1,250 as a avg...

Not included was my time and initial cost of equipment.

I'm small scale,grow my own. I still do cost analysis, keep track of elec and water use, materials, etc..just as if I was running it as a business, but I handle all my finances that way. I like to know what I'm getting into and what I've gotten myself into. My cars are an expensive enough hobby..i don't need to make this one any more expensive.

tooooo much :) LB PER....When you grow commercially LEGALLY...

1)They charge you more in rent, normally double what the going rate was 5K a month went to 10K....

2)Electricity is crazy high... the electric company charges you more when your in and industrial zone they call it commercial rates & you have to find a place to can handle your amp use..10K

We found out renting places that have hanging ceilings are the best for us....add Fert, Dirt, manpower, internet, security .... it all adds up.

3)Federally you can't take any business tax deductions as normal businesses do... like rent electricity payroll expenses until congress reschedules marijuana

BTW check out legallyflying's definitive air stone test thread, he used a DO meter to test output from different air stones and found those 6" straight blue stones that are $1-$1.50 a piece create more DO than a number of other stones.... I was using the ecoplus 4" round discs off hydro store recommendation but switched to the blue air stones and the water turbulence and amount of bubbles is visibly different.

Yearly taxes no monthly. I do not have mortgate, the building was payed for upfront.

I run a 600w for a ten week grow cycle, costs me about $300 for one grow and I get a pound. I did however spend around $400 on the initial equipment. I know everyone calls theirs top shelf but mine actually sells on the top shelf at both clubs I frequent lol.

It's been 3 years since this post but I'd like a job with you lol I don't care what no one says if you enjoy what you do it's not work. Yes there is investment in growing, but if your doing what you enjoy it's priceless.
