how much does your Hydroponics setup run?

just checking this out would like to know how much extra juice you suck a mo. with your Hydroponics set-up please tell us your set-up and how much a mo. extra your bill is. thanks jeff

1200 watts(2x400HPS, 1x400MH), 3 air pumps runnin 24/7, total of 8 fans running 12/12 and 2 fans run 24/7. Costs me an extra $40/month. My setup costs almost 6 cents per hour to run.

dam.......i spent my income return for the hps and the rest of the gear, atmosphere controler, c02 regulator, 20lb bottle,.around 600 i remember....it paid off 4 months later first harvest

Add all your wattage up for the hour..
i'm not going into everything electrical but just for example you run...
2x 600 + ballasts and 200 watt cooltube fan for 12/12...
Thats 600+600+200=
1400watts per hour 12/12

400w mh for mums 24/7
110w cfl for clones 24/7
200w on pump and fans 24/7
thats 710w per hour 24/7

The price i will give is estimated on my elecrtic bill as i pay 12p for 1000w per hour
for 12/12...
1400w x 12h = 16800wpd
16800wpd x 7d = 117600watts per week
117600 x .12p = 14112
your bill is £14.11 for the 12/12

now for the 24/7 bill...
710w x 24h = 17040wpd
17040wpd x 7d = 119280watts per week
119280 x .12p = 14313.6
your bill is £14.13 for 24/7

Add both up and you get an approx. price for a weeks electric bill of £28.24

well i got the aeroflo2 cause im not a handy man i ouldnt have built it as good as my setup and it cost me 1000 plus a 400 dollar cloner and i spent 2k total on everything plus my nutes and meter and another 100 or so on lighting i think between all gear and soil i sed to use and nutes ive spend 5k tyhis year but got almost everything i need besides a carbon scrubber and a co2 and possibly chiller but i wanted to go all out since ive made more than triple than i spent probably to me was worth every pennty i did 4 soil grows and the ddifference in growth time is fucking unreal i will never grow soil again if i can help it hydro really is so much faser my plants are 3 weeks old counting xcloner time and they are all liek 1ft tall and getting lollipopped but my blue berry is a litte shorter than my sweet tooth i think im drop my light closer its right at 18" but ive had it about 6" beforesd so i think ima drop it to about 8-10"

I was under the impression he was asking about how much his system would cost to run.

oh i see how much electricity that really depends where you live since power is priced different in different locations but each of my 100 watts is about $30 a month and y 400 is like 12 i guess and i dont know what pumps cost ill know once i getmy nexy bill i just movd so my bills have been partial and i just started running al my gear last week so ill know better next month

i have noticed that the increase was nowhere near what i thogh i think i could run 2 more 1000 watt if i wanted but i dont ned them and the i would need another fan im not sure how much my fan cost either

my power bill in general at old house was like 350-380 but this new house has valted cieling so it will be more to cool the larger space

I run a 600w HID, an inline fan that runs constantly, table fan running constantly and a window AC that runs for a good 16 hours per day. It's a little hard to tell how much of my bill increase is attributed to my hydro setup because the bill at leat doubles every summer due to AC usage. Only "guesstimating", but I think my system accounts for at least an extra $25 per week.
