How Much Light Can Plants Handle? PICS

Why are you trying to grow plants in party cups! Why have you got your ballast under the light too in front of a big airconditioner! Anyway barring the various electrical disasters, fire risks and inability to repot the plants i would say that yer it looks good! When the hell are you gona flower these cause if you haven't you have already run out of space! I do not see you pH'ing the water and nutes before adding to the soil! Do you not think you are gona create very acidic conditions in the soil when those ferts hit the soil! Eventually the plant roots will die due to one reason or the other, already they are struggling. What is the purpose of this grow? You are gona spend about 100 times more on electricity than final yeild?????? One plant under some flourescents would have kicked this grows ass by the time you finish!

i wanted to make a soil cap for the roots so i bound the roots some so they would grab the soil, now the roots grow in the air above 80-82 degrees water, the air temp in the cup with the roots stays around 70-72 degrees and are doing great.
iam well under my 15 amp breaker even if a/c compressor is on when i plug the light in
my electric went up 30$ a month a/c on 24/7 and light on about 20 hours a day at 400w and 600w . this isn't a noticeable amount to me or the electric company
i like a/c on my reflector and ballast(both stay cold to the touch) its not blocking any light, and i dont worry about choppers with IR cameras as much. i haven't got any anti-IR detection film yet
i been light stressing these plant so i know the edge of light stress. main reason for this grow,
roots, nuits and leaf problems are easy to troubleshoot for the most part
these are just random seeds cost nothing and i have no space limits
iam slowly lowering my ph from low 7 to mid 5's,iam switching to aeroponics for flowering
idk when i will flower yet iam still just enjoying watching them grow

Totally the only way out of this situation, dangle the roots in a hydro system and recirculate the water. Choppers won't see that grow, they pick up heat from a whole house or few rooms, one 600w is not gona get noticed, 6 600w in a room now thats a heat signature and giveaway would be the hot air venting to the outside of the house.

Still no hotter than say a boiler or cooker, cops don't work this way with the helicopter round my parts. They need bigger heat signatures especially when the heat is surrounded by a house.

it just makes me feel safer
i live in area that has choppers scanning with IR cameras i stick out cause i have a small house on a few acres

You're not still only using 1/4 strength nutes on them are you? Those girls are hungry, I think most people follow water, water, feed and so on,1 feeding in 6 waterings on 1/4 nutes isn't enough for plants that size in pots so small,it's why they're lime green.

I would agree but this would probably not be considered a soil grow any more, new feed techniques/watering are called for. There are people who grow in nothing but a cup this size, read their threads to solve what to do in this situation.

Is that tin foil in there? Rip that out now, tin foil is no good at reflecting light, if any thing it will just give you hot spots.

i know about foil, just something i had left over from building my grow room,i dont need and more light just trying to keep the bottom leaves from elongating.
if i take a pic of plants with natural sunlight they are alot darker
i do have one plants that didn't stop flowering after i sexed them and put back to a 20/4 hrs i want to feed different but haven't got any yet
i have nuit burn on the leaves already(mostly tips and some random yellowing all lower leaves) so they cant be starving.
and your right i feed the roots differently then i feed the soil up top,
o and iam dumb cause iam using 1/4 tablespoon of fertilizer(18-18-21) but in only a 32 oz spray bottle.

12/12 because of the height issue, they will grow a lot taller and will be hitting the glass soon plus they will grow taller when flowering too, think of the final height not the height they are at now. Maybe prune some height of them and thow them into flower where they will futher bush out. Thanks dude

bro get some fresh intake and take that ballast out of the grow area!!!! they let off too much heat. you could try getting a clip desk top fan and aim it at that tube.

they dont need food they need cool air and the heat extracted.

i know this might be excessive but it keeps the reflector cold
i have no height limits
the ballast was place there to keep a/c blowing on it. i have moved things since pics was taken.point is keep ballast and reflector below body temp.i have tried many different fan set-ups.ended up with a small squirrel cage fan pointed at bottom stem of plants, leaves dry out to fast when fanned directly

Um you do have height limits as far as i see, when the plants hit the glass thats as high as you can go?
