How much light you got in your 3x3?

When I can, I like to switch my DE HPS lamps out for DE MH 10k bulbs to finish with more blue and more UV. This increases density and resin production. I would imagine you can get some of that effect with the CMH as a finishing light.

Regardless of if I can change to MH for finish, I will dim my lights to finish (along with temps, CO2, feed PPM. This prevents foxtailing and increases bud density.

I'm doing this next run for sure. Thanks for sharing your info Renfro, you just solved my foxtailing/ moderate yield problems. NICE!

just as a thought, have you ever tried not dimming but adding an extra hour of dark at the finish? i would think extra intensity/shorter duration would be better than less intensity/same duration. but i've never tried it personally

Thats more for forcing ripening IMO. REducing the light intensity is what I am after, while dropping red and adding blue and UV.

You have to resist the instinct that more light = more yield. It took me a while but it's so worth it. Denser nugs and actually better yield while saving money on power.

i'd still take quality any day of the week
When quality is so close between CMH and HPS, as it is in my case, Id rather sell yield than 1.5% more quality. Not everyone grows just for personal. Now if the quality wasn't close in my case then I would see the need to go CMH. I would lose money doing so therefore I don't. Even if it was my personal grow, I prefer to do dabs so I am growing for overall resin content (cannabinoids and terps). Getting say 25% more yield even if that yield has 2 percent less resin means I get more resin per run.

totally agree. i forget who here turned me on to an article about diffuse light v single point intense light, but the diffuse light produced better yield.
my buds are much denser with a complete "ceiling' of QB's driven softly vs any light i've used previously.

I will never rely on anyone for income. Even if my woman brings in more money than I do, I will continue to earn as long as I am able. I don't ever want to become reliant on someone for income. It's just how I am wired. If the relationship takes a shit I am not left flailing around trying to get back on my feet.

I run a custom build led strip with a 185 watt driver. Should have more might personally and I’m gonna upgrade to more strips and bigger driver soon.

Running a 300w LED that is 130 true watts in a 3x3. Its my first time using a legit grow box. I have no idea what to expect yield wise. Only running 2 plants.
