Whats up brother. I have been giving my plants nutes at about half strength since 2 weeks. I usually water every day to every other day but only use nutes every other watering. I dont have much experience but my plants are doing just fine so im gonna keep up the way i been doing it. Just dont let your soil stay too soaked for any length of time.

I water on Mondays and Fridays with water that was taken out of the tap at least 2 days previous to allow the chlorine to evaporate out.

Personally, I wait 3 weeks after the seedling has sprouted to give it any nutes. There are people on here that give zero nutes in veg. If you are going to give it something, give it @ 1/4 strength of whatever the package says.

99.9% of problems on this forum are caused by either over watering or over feeding.

it depends on the size of your pots and how much water your soil will hold....

I have 4 plants 3 in 3 gallon pots and 1 in a 1 gallon pot... the three gallon pots I water every 4-5 days.... alternating nutes and molasses..... for the 1 gallon pot I usually end up watering it every 2 days... and I don't nute it til I do the other plants...

the way I do it is, if I see the fan leafs start to droop I check the soil... if it's dry I water... they will perk up a bit.... but remember visual simptoms of over watering and under watering are the same... droopy leafs

also in flowering you tend to use more water

haven't lived at my place long enough to get my compost going ;) this spring it should be good though once it warms up... I went around and raked up mad amounts of leaves from the trees around... as well as grass clippings and some soil and veggie waste..... I've got 50 lbs of worm castings here I'll probably end up throwing a few lbs in there to get the microbs up and started and get it decomposing faster....

if you can go buy a moisture meter. with out one use the finger methed. thats where you stick your finger in the soil down to your first or second joint. if the soil is dry water till you get run off out the bottom drain holes. if the soils is moist let it go an other day or two. just keep checking the moister level every 2 or 3 days as far as nutes go give nutes after it gets the 4th or 5th node then give water( no nutes) every other watering, this helps flush out extra salts. i start with 1/4 strenth. as your plant gets bigger it will need watering more offen. if you think you might have nute lock water with plain water only. also you can lift your pots a moist pot is heaver then a dry one.
just for pratce fill a pot with soil then water it till you get run off. then try to get a feel for how heavy it is then check it every couple of days checking the weight. your humidty will play a part in how offen you water. if you have low humidty you will have to water more offen less with a higher humidty.
may you be cursed with many buds
