Do ypu guys put your newly germinated plants directly in the sun ? This my first time trying outdoors and it seems like the sun is too hot for little seedling. I'm at my overseas house and the temps are 80-90 degrees with humidity between 30%-50%. Idk if it makes any difference but UV index is always extreme. It's never cloudy so the sun is full blast at all times.

Search this forum for hardening off. It will show you many great threads about this.

Typically it is a few weeks of taking them in and out of the sun to acclimate them.

In your case the shade is where you will want to start.

I let them germinate inside then I moved them outside on day 2 for about 3 hours and they looked like they were hurting from the sun so I brought them back inside. They're 3 days old right now under cfl light.

That’s true however over the past decade or so I’ve noticed that due to the constant changes in genetics your breeders are developing seed strains that lean more towards growing indoors making them light radiation sensitive. 65% of cannabis is grown indoors compared to 15% in 2000
Hope this makes sense to you

This is 100% false and plain hilarious. Thanks for the laugh today.

In the Toronto area, in the first week of May I sprout and then in second week of May during days that are between 10-20 deg C, I place my week old seedlings outside during the day. They seem to do OK. Hardly little plants - much stronger than what I can do inside the house.
