How to Cross Breed?

only thing i can say is try to find some type of similarity between the plants you wanna use, for example, white widow grows crazy and needs constant pruning, some plants grow mostly around the main stem with min pruning needed. If there are a lot of genetic diff. between your plants, you may find youself back-crossing a-lot untill a desired trait has been established. ( wich can take a while )

NO, the female plant does not turn into a hermie. MALE + FEMALE = BABY(seeds).

To simplify:

makee fukee, makee babee

All one has to do is find 2 plants you want to breed,
Take the best female plant you want to breed with,
Take another plant, a male, the best of them you want to breed with, take out the female out of the room and use just a little pollin from the best male and put just a little on the female bud and make sure not to put to much on it and make sure you don't get any on the others, this will cross breed the male with the female, making a different breed of plant,It's not rocket science, they are weeds:
now if you want to grow bigger plants, then go check out our site @

Dude I left school 20 years ago!
Do you know how many joints that is?

neither do I, but a lot

Suffice to say an easy way is not the correct way, it is a very long process

Oh by the way thanks for that massive post I was looking for info on it and shake a male over a female was just a little short of what I was after:lol:

you can "breed" any plants you want but the outcome is not always going to better than what you started with.Just because 2 strains are bad ass by themselves does not mean that crossing them will make them even better!!Oh fyi, you do not need to keep the male to polinate, you only need to keep it long enough to create mature pollen sacks, then you can pick a few off and pollinate with the same male more than once.save the pollen sacks to do it more than once...but to do it right, your gona need alot of space because the polinated plants gona make hundreds of seeds and out of those hundreds of seeds, theres probably only gona be a handful that you want to continue to breed with.....lol.good luck.It takes years to make a stable strain, unless you get lucky, which does happen.

Hahahahahahahaha all i read was "If your a new grower than dont even try this" and "but i want to know how and what its all about incase i want to later!" and then pops out the 50000 word report from a fuckin scientist lol... I think my dick shrunk a little

try to look up high times july 2000. it has breeding made easy. it's not that hard to breed....it's making it stable that takes work.
This is exactly right. I don't know much about breeding strains, but I know it's not as simple as 'find a female with traits you want to keep, cross with a male that has traits you want to keep.' Some of the traits will be controlled by more than one gene, and you will have to know what you are looking at in order to breed a good strain (eg, a strain where all the seeds grow into plants you want to keep).

A pitbull crossed with a labrador can be a good dog.

Any male can pollinate any female so that is how you would cross breed 2 different strains. I have rocklock and C-13 haze mixed with LA confidential for just this reason...now is it a new strain or something? No it isnt because everyone of the seeds I get can be totally different.

Dave's information on breeding is the most helpful info i have found on the web even now years later took a few days to read it all and im sure it wasnt fun typing it all but i appreciate it thanks man
