So I stumbled upon this pic while I was searching info for LST, as to get more experience for my next grow.

How can I achive such thing of beauty with LST ?
This girl seems to be defoliated a bit and chopped and the end, could anyone spare some advice here ?

Good genetics are foremost. Without them you may find much of your work to be in vain. They will determine how your plant reacts to the environment (temperature, nutrition, LST, etc ) and ultimately, its final appearance and smoke. :bigjoint: :peace:

Those nugs are much smaller then you think, thats the way buds grow on any branch, most big colas are what your seeing just straight up and down giving them the appearance of one giant bud. That branch was bent/tied down either right before flower, or during the first couple weeks of it, probably not during veg.

My plan is to get 6 CFLs at 75W each, get some good veg and bloom nutes, good soil and all that, and do some LST to one side, I would be using seeds that I already have, a unknown strain.
I have 2 plants growing outdoors, from these seeds and they react very well to LST, which makes me believe I could get some good results :D

Maybe youre right and those buds are smaller than I think, but I remember seeing a post on another forum where a guy grew LSTing his plants to one side, and he got really big nice buds, thats kinda what Im looking for.

Not with cfls he didn't

If you are on a tight budget, as you can replace each cfl with a Cree household bulb, available at HD

Search the LED Forum for captainmorgan's awesome grow using them

Here are 6 plants in a 4x4 space, LSTd and vegged for 50 days. I didn't top anything. There are 3 strains in there, so my canopy isn't as even as I'd like, but you can see the power LST has if that's what your looking for...tent.jpgall under a single 600w. Yield will be at least pound.

I can see how LST can make a grower very happy hehe, plus a good veggin period.
What do you think I could get growing 4 plants under 450W of CFL power + LST, veggin for about 3 week only? gimme a rough estimate.
Also what kind of LST is more efficient for CFL grows ?

Next week Ill be able to make some calculations :D today I chopped my first girl ever and got her into drying so next week I will weigh it and get have an estimate. ANd I only grew it under one 75W CFL, so 6 CFLs should gimme some good bud.
Thanks for your reply ;)

as mentioned, this is the result of training/tying down. pretty much like a scrog too. instead of them all growing together as one, the growth tips grow individually. in a scrog, you yield more, but the buds are smaller...

SCROG sounds nice, ive seen some really nice setups on the net, tho it seems advanced stuff for a noob as me :D
How much do you have to veg minimum in a SCROG setup ?

I bend all of my tall tops when my vegging takes a bit too long. all buds seem to reach for the light as in the pic. I can snap some pics later tonight if you like.

Thanks man, I am looking to get as much info as I can on what is the best way to go for my next grow. Mainlining looks amazing, tho topping multiple times kinda makes me believe it will be a long veg time.

I forgot to mention, I do this in flower during and after the stretch. my ceiling in my tent is only so high and im usually maxed out on plant height. so bending over is the best idea for me. also, do your bending after a good watering, usually the next day. imo, makes the branches a bit more bendy and helps in not breaking them.
