what type of calcium just plain ol cal-mag or is there an organic type option
I am trying this out for the first time and I am not sure which type of calcium to use . I am using RAW Cal mag and RAW amino acids . I am new to adding nutrients to feet roots . I used ProMix for years , and overwatered it .
The guy that was explaining this on a video grows with rockwool in his hydroponics system i am guessing , and the huge greenhouses in Europe are using Hydroponic .
That means the roots are getting a lot of oxygen , I started out with soil , and since I usually overwater soil , I have slowly transitioned to a mixture of 90% perlite and 10% organic Coir ( coconut hair ? ) . I like this mixture so far because now that the roots are getting a lot of air , my plant growth above ground level is growing much faster so far . I guess it is kinda like poor man's flood and dry system . I mix some time release coir fertilyzer . So I am beginning to think that the calcium amino acid method kind of works best if the roots get maximum root oxygen ,

Kinda of begs the question ; Why don't they list Oxygen as a primary nutrient ? I think now that I am maximizing my perlite and doing away with soil , I just mix the perlite with a little coco coir and some time release fertilyzer that contains some compost and good fungi , that I will be giving the amino acid calcium treatment a better chance to get a maximum effect ,

At any rate using a lot of soil just attracts gnats to my garden. The high level of perlite I am using , makes it a lot easier to flush my containers .
