How to tell if ypur buds are dense?

While your plants are growing how you do you tell if the buds are growing nice and dense? I don't really want to squeeze them. Seems like my conditions are good. Do I just have to wait and pray?

Wait until weeks 10-11 and they should be nice and dense, considering they have adequate lighting

Just give one a light squeeze, its really the only way to tell for sure. Sometimes ya gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelet!

Definitely adequate, I got 2 MH TSW2000s (~620w) running in a 4x4. I had nute problems for a week though, too much P.

I recognize the formula from physics but I'm not sure where mass and velocity come into play...

What kinda light are you using? I've noticed LED seem to make them more dense. Mine are like rocks.

If you noticed they weren't dense while growing, what would you even do? Squeeze them after they are dried then you'll know.

I was just messing around.

It seems like giving them a gentle pinch between the thumb and index finger is the only way to know for sure.

People seem to recommend avoiding touching the buds much. At times, I found it hard to resist.

When you squeeze your buds you damage the bud structure and the trichomes. That's why people don't recommend doing it. But when they are your plants you can do whatever you want

I always cop-a-feel on the laidies if you know what I mean. Can’t help

Like this. If it taps out it means it needs more light. Beware of the reversal.

I got 2 mars hydro tsw 2000s, around 620w of full spectrum LEDs.

I use the bud leafs as napkins and feel the bud between them to stop me getting sticky fingers.

Don't squeeze them. It's still too early(based on the photo above) to even determine density. Not to mention, density should just be gauged by eye, rather than squeezing your buds. You'll know whether they're dense or not after you harvest and dry them. Patience is key.

Why would you crush your buds?

I suppose the big question is what do you get out of it? If you squeeze your bud, damaging the trichomes, what does it do for you? If it's not dense what will you do as twentyeight.threefive said? I am guessing you are squeezing them to make yourself feel good but in the end all you are really doing is causing damage to your end product. That seems counter productive.

I have noticed if they aren’t dence when they start then aren’t gonna get hard later.

I'm more than capable of inspecting a cola without damaging it it's hardly a unique talent.
