How to tell if ypur buds are dense?

Don't squeeze them. It's still too early(based on the photo above) to even determine density. Not to mention, density should just be gauged by eye, rather than squeezing your buds. You'll know whether they're dense or not after you harvest and dry them. Patience is key.
That photo is a couple weeks old Sensei

Only supporting the weight when sagging. And a dense bud is clearly visible to the eye. If asking? You ain't got them. Avoid handling your buds.
I'm not in the habit of handling them but I'm not innocent of checking out a bud for whatever reason, that could be next month or next year it's not something I set out to do.

No battle. Just my point of reference. And I have yet to see ones worthy of Viagra.

You can have healthy under optimized buds. Fat sugar leaf filled or massive calaxe swelling and stacking. The latter is the density of choice. i grow my share of foxtails. LOL.

Take a toke and and share some insight.

Peace and humor.

Yes I agree on the looks of density, but within that, there still seems to be a range where they can be decieving, one way or the other. It wasn't a counter argument, I actually wanted to ask if it is just varying water content or something?.

It is all things. But plant reading and walking the nute burn line seem to be the recipe for density in my grows.

So this begs the question what do you intend to do if they are not?
Not all strains grow that type of bud anymore than all plants get frosty :blsmoke:
Very true. Not all strains will ever get as dense as others.. Its genetics.. like most peeps know, and some don't. That a heavy leaning sativa won't get as dense as a genetically morphed hybrid indicas of nowadays. JM2C

This is true. Impressive to many. A comical prop to a few others. Pure fluff monsters. Pull the handle and cross your fingers every bean. LOl.004.jpg

I do that also usually with the same 1 or 2 buds each every 5-7 days in late flower. I laugh when people say if you lightly squeeze your buds that you will ruin your harvested buds LOL. And Yes I Love smelling my Stanky fingers afterwards!
I mean right?
You grew it.
Enjoy it.
It’s not all about smoking it.

Rub the sugar leaves for scent. Leave the glands and resins in your buds. I just grow some popcorn for "Testers". Wink. LOL.

They are your plants people. Do what you think best. I'm just OCD for healthy plants and solid yields.
