How to wire a Fulham Workhorse 5 ballast to 3x 40watt t5 duotube bulbs (with pics)

I, just now after years of gathering the small amount of grow supplies I have, have decided to start putting it all together and see if i can be a daddy! anyways I guess i decided years ago to buy this equipment so its what i got ill def add more lights. Heres what I have and how i did it...

Supplies:
1x Fulham Workhorse 5 (I found from reviews fulhams are the best overall, woulda been happier with the WH8 for more lights though) 30 bucks shipped maybe
3x EiKO 40 Watt CFL DuoTube (DT40/30/RS) i think 8 a piece
3x 2G11 Sockets (Available at Amazon.com and all kinds of light supply sites) $2 each roughly
2-3 feet extra similar guage wire than on workhorse
wire cutters
wire nut
electrical tape
old extension cord (to cut and splice for power cord

If your working with a Fulham Workhorse ballaststart at their website and see if it helps...

this diagram is #11 on site

The workhorse 5 has 7 wires total:

1x Black/ for power
1x White/ for power
on one side

4x Red/ each individual wire to one end of each bulb
1x Yellow/ to be spliced and gone to the other end of all the bulbs
on the other side

each duotube bulb has 4 pins at the base, as well as each 2G11 socket, both sides will be spliced together individually, the 2G11 sockets have 6 wire holes on the back that once u put in the wire in it catches it (to get it out u need to insert another wire into the hole below it, not the side of it ull get another one stuck :) and pull them both out)

THE HOW TO:

<a href="http://s1245.photobucket.com/albums/gg581/BubbaSkrubba/?action=view&amp;current=wh5diagram.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1245.photobucket.com/albums/gg581/BubbaSkrubba/wh5diagram.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

1.
first off we want to get all the sockets wire jumpd. of the 6 wire holes on the back of the socket, 4 are numbered to designate the pin of the bulb and the other 2 are, im guessing, for when u jump them together and need another hole for a wire lol. so wire jumper 1&2 and 3&4 leaving the blank holes empty (for now)...

I cut about 1 1/2" segments of wire, stripped it, bent it in the shape of a staple and pushed it in. heres what the jumpers should look like there the middle two wires

2
once we have 2 jumpers on all the sockets, connect one red wire to either blank hole of the socket
( im not positive but i dont think these tubes have any kind of polarity or certain direction so either way worked for me.)

the workhorse 5 has 4 red wires so i have one red wire left over that i just capped off

3
the yellow wire I had used a wire nut and connected 3 seperate pieces of wire + the yellow wire, and ran those to all the other blank wire holes in the three sockets (these 3 wires are the black electrical taped wires)

4
attach a power cord to the black and white cords

5
make sure all connections are tight, all unused wires are capped off

hopefully i can find all the time to finish my setup and MAKE SOME POT.
hope this helps
