Hps and led lighting coverage area help!

Hi everyone



So I am a casual grower and I currently have a 4x4x7 tent. I am thinking about turning a room in my basement in a grow room to give me more space. The space will be approximately 4x10x8. A small portion of the space, approx 4x2x8 space will be my veg room separate from my flower room.



I currently have one 600w HPS and four 400w led lights. I plan on putting one led light in my veg area and the rest in my flower area. Would this be enough light for my coverage area?

I would def think it would be anuff bro.usually every 600 watts will cover a 4x4 ft space.sounds to me like you have the perfect space for a couple 4x4 ft scrogs or maybe even a 4x8 ft sog?.that's a good amount of room bro.

Describe these "400w" LED lights. What are they actually? How many watts do they actually pull?

For veg around 25 - 30 REAL watts per square foot is good enough for veg. For flower you want more like 35 watts per square foot. These numbers are for a good LED light, not a cheap amazon blurple lol.
