Entering week 2 from switch. Just starting to show buds.

1400w of LED (4)QB304 driven by (2) HLG 240H and (14) SolStrips X2 driven by (2) HLG 320H.

Jacks 5-12-26
Calcium Nitrate
Magnesium Sulfate

240g Jacks and 80g Mag Sulf per 100oz of distilled water in one gallon. And 160g Calcinit per 100oz in another gal and I use less than an oz per gal to get 1.2EC

Day 15 from flip:

Buds started forming 4 or 5 days ago

1.3EC at 5.9pH. Had been keeping steady at 5.8 but letting it drift up to 6.1 a couple days ago. Not a huge fan of the Blue Lab pH Doser. Cant do + or - pH setpoints its dead on. I developed a work around which is to keep set point at 5.6 in control mode and toggle between control and monitor. Once res is 5.6 I switch to monitor and let it rise to 6.1 and then switch to control. Rinse and repeat. This drift usually is around a week.

Before defoliation

How many plants in what size area?
Its an 8 site meant for 8'x4' area. The other 2 werent ready for the system so I only have 6 plants in and put the biggest ones at the end to have room to train them where the 2 unused sites are. Which I definitely needed that extra wiggle room.

Hoping for around 1.5gpw

So,..............the led's are working for you? You're getting the same yield as your previous lights? Do you like that Green Crack more than the Blue Dream? Everything looks great!

This is only my second time running the green crack. So far so good. Vigorous growth. Big stinky buds. Resistance to bud rot. I do enjoy the LEDs. I got 16 clones ready to put into my multi site DWC totes. Im going to run (2) 315w CMH over 8 and the LEDs over the other 8 next grow. Will see which light out performs on a gpw scale.

Been a while since I ran the blue dream. And honestly I didnt start from seed and was given a clone of it so not even sure if it was blue dream.

I have no clue what happened to my post you helped me on the other day. All the comments disappeared overnight? Well this is what i remembered moving my jacks 321 system to your stock solution method.

Gallon #1 (remove 12oz from full gallon jug)
Part A- 278 grams
Epsom- 93 grams

Gallon #2 (remove 12oz)
Part B-186 grams

Dosing:
use 1 oz from each gallon until Ec hits the correct number (using ro water)
Most of plants life 1.2 ec
Week5 of flower 1 ec
Final 2 weeks .6 ec (using jacks finish and epsom)

I plan on running uc roots instead of beneficial bacteria in my rdwc this run and will add it with the weekly water change. Am i missing anything?

I think it got deleted because you had two threads.

2.4g/oz of jacks and 0.8g/oz Epsom in one jug

1.6g/oz of calcium nitrate in the other jug

You dint need to use distilled water if u have RO water. I just use distilled because its pure and the nutes make a concentrate. Certain nutrients in a concentrated solution can combine. Thats why the calcium goes in a separate jug.

This concentrate makes it so I need to only add 1oz of concentrate to 1 gal of reservoir space.

I do 0.6EC for seedlings and 1.0EC for clones

So you go for .6 ec using only jacks finish and epsom on the last 2 weeks correct?

Jacks 321 chart shows to match the normal ec of 1.2 (with our diluted rdwc mix) for those 2 weeks?

No. Nowhere does he say he only uses 5-12-26. Where do you read "Jack's Finish"?

Why do you double quote and double post trashing the thread? Stop it!:wall:

Its all good man. I dont mind. RIU needs helpful types it had when I first started visiting over 9 years ago. Seems this site has a lot of jerks trolling newbies.

He read Jacks Finish from a thread he posted that has been deleted. Hes carrying this topic into my journal.

I use Jacks Finish and Epsom Salt the last 2 weeks. To answer your question @RCJR you can feed how you like. Im usually at 0.8EC the last two weeks so thats how I water. Jacks also has you do 3.6/2.4/1.2 grams per gallon but i find it too strong for RDWC and opt for a 2.4/1.6/0.8. The important thing is the ratio 321. This makes it so your K:Ca:Mg ratio is 4:2:1

Doesnt matter if you do full strength and dilute or give the correct amounts so dilution isnt needed.

I make concentrates because 5-12-26 is a mix and I feel if I just do 10grams at a time im going to be further off the guaranteed analysis. @ttystikk mentored me a lot when i first started RDWC and thats how he did it and his reasoning. Which made sense to me

As always everyones garden is different. If you are using CO2 you can feed higher. Root zone health will affect nutrient absorption for better or for worse. Use the tools (pH and EC meters) to listen to what your plants are telling you.

Im also new to the finish product and will be experimenting. Ive completed one grow with it and it seemed to increase the flavor and smell so im sticking with it. Having said that this was a new strain to me and I never grew it without the finish.

It looks good on paper though as more S and Mg and low N have been shown to be beneficial towards end of plant life
