With a feedback profile as large as HTG has on ebay they must be doing something right,i often wonder why there is a thread asking about htg weekly, thats what ebay feedback is for, isnt it ?

I go to the actual store in cranberry. it kicks ass. the people that run the place are always really helpful and i know that you wont have any regrets if you buy from them. the only complaints that i have with htg at all is that sometimes they only have the expensive shit and nothing on the cheap (even though their prices are usually better than other places for the exact same product). like their only thermometers are digis for 20 bucks so it sucks when you want eight of the damn things. if you are talking about buying one of the complete grow kits with the light then i can tell you the light that comes with it is pretty good for the price. i have two of them.

Think about that for a second, they are the largest hydro shop on ebay, now imagine how many tire kickers email them daily,i'd be willing to bet they get 1,000 emails a week from people who do not intend to buy anything at that moment,it would be impossible to answer all those emails.

Ive bought from htg several times & i had a problem once, they answer their telephone on the 2nd ring,i never use an email to contact anybody when there is a problem & neither should anybody else.

Yea man that is where i got most of my stuff from.. They have cheap light hanging things that work well for like 10 bones you may want to throw on your order since you are paying delevirey anyway...

They actually forgot to send me scres for a carbon filter and i called to bitch, i dindnt think they would send them but they offered... Dude there gave me the idea of putting my 8" fan directly to the carbon filter as they are the same size..point being..they know the shit they sell.

I had a problem with a pricey item that I bought from them. I sent them an email explaining what was wrong and their reply was your replacemnt is in the mail just use the pre paid labed to ship back the old one. I was very impressed! They have a loyal customer for life now. Most places make you ship the item back first. This was one of those items that I couldnt be without and they came through.

I would recommend them to buy from, i just bought a 250W hps/mh and with a bunch of other goodies. the shipping took a little long but im in the middle of nowhere pretty much so i understand. very good products price isn't really high and good customer satisfaction.and as for that all you needing, well i think its a decent starter kit i upgraded my reflector and bought the high-low reflector hangers which i would recommend for the extra couple of clams. the timer works good and the best part was it was free. hope this helped...peacez :blsmoke:

HTG is insane awesome, Cheapest prices bar none. Only thing that sucks is that I live in PA so I pay tax wether I go into the store or order online : /

The crew is solid though, quick note, If you call the EBAY contact, its the guy who runs the ebay buisness. He knows his stuff but not really, If you call the store the crew there knows everything and can give great advice

yeah i bought a set up from them a while back, had a few issues with the light and also with a busted open nutrient container, and each time I just easily called them up, told them the issue, and was sent replacements right away, free of charge or questions asked. They also even upgraded me to a 70 dollar agromax bulb from my htg regular one when i was having on and off issues with it. they're the shit. haha

the lights will get hot like any other hid. i just use regular fans and keep the doors to the grow rooms open with the fans blowing the heat from the lights out. if you dont want open doors you will need one of the exaust fans to take care of it. if you go that route, its a little cheaper to order the cheap brand of fans (suncourt) though other suppliers than from htg, like home improvement centers and stuff. but if you dont have to pay extra shipping to get it from htg, then it might be better to get it from them anyway. im not sure about their shipping policies. you will definately need to take care of the heat somehow though. as an experiment i took the plants out of my smaller room (only 4ft.X 2ft.), turned the light on, and shut the door. like 20 minutes later it was about 110 degrees. you might want to look into other things like ph meters, a syringe to measure nutes, mylar, and shit like that too.

yeah i was planning on getting an exhaust fan, some intake fans (will just regular fans do the same thing or do the reg fans not bring in any fresh air?), mylar, a ph meter. i wasn't too sure about the nutes. what are good ones? sorry i don't really know anything about this.
also, do you recommend getting the kit from their website or ebay? or does it not really matter?
thanks a lot for your help everyone. i really do appreciate it!

Yes it matters,as long as your not a person who panics & feels the need to have ebay, paypal & ebay feedback on your side then buying direct & cutting out the middleman (ebay) will save you a few bucks, htg has been known to cut slightly better prices in off ebay deals, namely because they dont have to pay final value credit fee's to ebay & eat the 4% paypal fee for sellers.

yeah that definitely makes sense. i just read somewhere in these forums that paypal notices when you buy certain things like growing supplies and tells the po-pos. even if its not true, it scared me enough to get it straight from their site. thanks
