To the OP, this entire discussion entitled, 'The Poetry of Science', is full of great ideas and the point/counterpoint (and agreements) between Tyson and Dawkins is exhilarating. I like Tyson, but I imo Dawkins gives a little more thought to things than does Tyson. Tyson is much more about being entertaining, not to say he doesn't know his shit. I suggest everyone watch the entire video, but watch 25:00 to 29:00 to hear Dawkins' insight into the point raised by Tyson in the OP:
