I've got 8 cobs at 50 watts each per box so 400 when not dimmed the T5s are about 432 watts so power draw is pretty close but the cobs are way brighter (I actually use special sunglasses when in there) so my money is on cobs for sure. I have one of the new fixtures put together all I need to do is mount the drivers and wire it up I'll get a few pics shortly here

Looks really good!

So the boxes are only 3' tall? How far do you keep the COBs? Run into height issues?

I mainly ask because my grow is in a 4' tent with an LED, curious how much of a problem it will be later.

My boxes are 4ft tall which is why I scrog my lights are about 20-24 inches away and I did bleach my first run pretty bad so I'm definitely going to keep a better eye on it this time. If your ladies do get a little big try putting a net over them. Thanks for stopping by if you have any more questions I'll do my best to answer them

great looking rig man,my next builds will look almost just like tht..gonna rock the pin fin heatsinks next trip but the HeatsinkUSA ones are rocking gr8....and brother,all bullshit aside,i have never had these results with HPS..I mean these girls just all pray to the gods almost all day...all 21 different phenos.Amazing,,and the "Far Reds",,i swear they are making my girls flower faster,,the stretch has been perfect and the looks as a whole are just awesome,,i never in a million years thought me and LED would go together in any sentence..so i look forward to watching u do urs and seeing how u like it,,i know u will have some valuable input and opinions...i also use the Deep Reds, IRs ,and Uvas,with Royal Blues supplementing the 3000k lights in half of my room ,and i am not mad at all about it..i swear tht side just looks a lil better but tht could be the meds and not my eyes lmao,,anyhow, cant wait to see the new set-up and results...happy growing,stay green

Thanks bro I'm definitely digging the leds for sure been tinkering with the idea of adding some monos in the deep reds, IR's, and uv myself just wanted to get a idea of how the cobs preform on their own first. I've got everything but the angled aluminum for a 4k build that I'm going to get started on next weekend I'm interested in seeing how the different spectrums do and with the way these cobs are I can always take them apart and swap out some chips to mix them up down the road. I checked out your journal and it's looking fantastic keep up the good work

Hey guys sorry it's been a while since I have done an update things have been super crazy. I did get both new fixtures done and hung and are going great. Unfortunately I got a small mite outbreak in the hog 1 box and the blue cheese box so I cut them down early to be on the safe side. I went thru the other boxes and scoped everything and sprayed them to be one the safe side which I'm gonna repeat again every 2-3 days for the next week or two. Hopefully I nip the little bastards in the bud. I'll try to get some pics up this week for everyone.
