Humboldt Seed Org. The New

I jumped on this strain right when it came out. Most would think because of the involvement of Sherbs cut of Girl Scout Cookies. The main reason I wanted it was because of the Larry Og with the GSC. I was really impressed with a previous hybrid that had Larry in it. This way I really don't care which way the hybrid goes. As long as I find a great pheno I should have great weed. Because of this I took clones of 2 of the 3 growing. One Phenotype was too short and slow growing to keep. If need be I can try and regenerate it later. In general I am really happy with this strain. While it may not be the easiest strain to grow. I hope that doesn't matter in the end.

Here is a look and some info on the 3 phenotype's I have. As you would expect from these new Poly Hybrids it is not very homogeneous. Not only are the plants different. They are VERY different. At least in growth rates and type. They all have good branching and have bushed out really nice. All plants had the exact same treatment. Plants were super cropped and bent to promote bushing. Pictures will go in the order of the phenotypes. Starting with the shortest.

Pheno #1. The shortest plant and the one I didn't clone. For no reason other than growth rate. It didn't grow very tall and didn't stretch at all. This would be a perfect pheno for a small LED set up. If I had any height issues this would be a great plant to have. Since I don't it is creating problems. I have this plant on a container that is over a foot tall just to get it in the canopy. My normal booster seats are 2". This one plants would have taken up most of them just to get high enough. It is a really nice plant in its own way. Depending on bud type and density. This plant could still produce as much as its sisters. As of last night. Pheno #1 is only 20" tall.

Pheno #2. This was my favorite from the start. It bushed out really nice and grew like hell till after the re-pot. Once I re-potted everything, is when I started having problems with this strain. This strain is real sensitive when it comes to over watering. I don't mean to often I mean to much at once. I like to let my pots dry out before re-watering. Then fully water. Something about this they don't like. A day after watering dry plants they would look good. The next day they would droop. Best I can explain is there is too much weight on the roots. Or they didn't like the dry out part. Either way, all the other plants did fine at this time. I only had problems with The New. As the root ball got bigger this problem went away. This is still a great looking plant. As of last night this plant was 34" tall

Pheno #3 From everything I have seen so far. This is going to be my keeper. It is taller, stretched more but nothing that can't be controlled. The open structure gives the plant plenty of light to the lower buds. Something that the others don't do. It was also the first to show frost and seems to be the frostiest of the 3. I am thinking this is the plant I will try and reverse for seeds. Unless its growth structure makes it a better mother than a father. I kind of like everything about this plant right now. As of last night it was 46" tall.

I still have no idea if this smoke will be any good at all. The fact that I bought it and cloned as much as I did. Just shows I am pretty sure there is something here. From the looks of it so far there is a little of everything. With this much variety so far there is a good chance that will be true. Here are the players starting with Pheno #1
