Been using this going on 2 years. Lasts a couple light cycles before having to refill. Comes on w/ lights on a timer. No pushing an on button... I'd check "best deals thread" @Marq1340 post some coupon codes from time to time. Or Vipon

If you got shitty (hard) water, use distilled in it and/or one that comes equiped with a demineralization cartridge thingy.

Otherwise, in your home, you may begin to see and feel a white haze on everything and hanging in the air.

With my well water, I've discovered that any of the ultrasonic ones make the dissolved minerals into a fine power that coats everything it can reach. That in itself is a annoying in my home, but I'd like to keep that off my plants' leaves and LED hardware. So it's either one of these small ultrasonics with distilled water, or a small evaporative unit. I'm about to replace our big home ultrasonic with an evaporative unit as well.

Any thoughts from people on the pluses or minuses of using a smaller evaporative unit vs. a 'warm mist'? Warm mist too warm for a tent environment, I would expect?

Hard water greatly shortens the life of filters in evaporative humidifiers and my water is around 650 ppm..... trashed a filter in a month. Last winter I started using the condensate from my furnace in all my humidifiers. The second filter i bought is still good to go.

Btw, my furnace condensate is around 25 ppm and i run it through a 5 micron carbon filter.
