Humidity Control

Hey all, I'm looking for some tips to reduce relative humidity in my growing space. I'm currently growing hydro in a sub grade space and now that the rainy season has set in I'm starting to see RH spikes up into the 70% range.

I'm looking for any tools or tips that might help bring RH back down to reasonable levels.

Considered placing a dehumidifier outside the tent but I'm not sure how effective that will be for inside the tent. Also, the tent is small so there is no room to put a unit in the tent.

Has anyone used the gel/crystals that you can pick up at the hardware store?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

70% humidity is not really a problem. As long as you keep good air flow its actually better to have a slightly higher RH. During flower you should try to lower it to about 50%. You can do that easily by raising temps to 80 or 84. Plants can handle higher temps with higher humidity. They lose less water since there is more water in the air, and grow faster. I have 30% in my room and I envy you I wish I could keep it at 60% or more.

I flipped to 12/12 at the beginning of the week so while the flowers haven't appeared yet, I am heading into the flowering phase, hence my concern.

Air flow in the tent is good so no worries there. Temps are only in the upper 60s though. I could place a seed mat in the tent to bump up temps a bit.
RH and Temps also rise and fall, respectively, during the night cycle.

Still, adding heat will be easier then lowering RH I feel. Feeling like I need some method to lower the RH ....
