hi folks, welcome to my new grow journal. lets hope this 1 brings better luck than my last did:hump:. im growing white widow & white rhino from seed, the big widow is one that i saved from disaster in my hydro attempt ( its been in soil for 4 days now ) pics below. its started to grow again now but it was touch and go for a while. the others ( 1 of each ) are in cups sprouting so i should see them anytime now. im growing in a wardrobe under a 125w cfl for veg, i'll swap it for my 400w hps for flowering.
any questions or comments are welcome and appreciated.

here are some more pics from this morning, the #1 widow is starting to look yellow/brown in the centre. i'll have to keep my eye on it and hope it doesnt get worse. ( pics 1 & 2 show the discolouration ). pics 3 & 4 are the widow and rhino seedlings, they have just popped their heads up out of the soil. pic 5 is a family shot lol. pic 6 is the sprouts with their humidity covers on.

looks beautiful hustla, cant wait to watch your grow!!! Are you growing in coco or something? Great stuff but you may find you want to mix some perlite for better airflow in the sil and a bit of drainage. cant wait to watch your grow

hi abudsmoker & kaya, its just general purpose compost im using, ive used it many times before without any problems. it actually drains quite well but still retains some water. there is about 1/2" of gravel/pebbles in the bottom of the pot so its not sitting in any water that runs off.
kaya sorry ive not checked out your grow for a while but ive been busy with the plants dying and other probs but thats sorted now i hope, im going to have a look at your grow in a minute or 2 to see where your at.
thanks for stopping by,

no worries iv been away alot myself that is fun for me once you forget about a grow and go back its great to see how much shit grows if yuo dont see it for a bit. Im sure the mix you use is fine but you know the plants have potential for faster growth the more airation they get in the root system? Just a thought hope all is well and i will take some pics about once a week cause its hard to take good ones with hps lighting and i get frustrated? But the plants are getting some nice sugar and i dont want to move them like i used to. Id say once a week is good and maybe more? thanks for stoppin ....................i love w widow so i cant wait to see these little babies grow

no problem kaya, im going to try and find some perlite or something similar this weekend because it wont be long till i need to re-pot the plants. the hps is a pain when your trying to get good pics of the plants and all you get is lines across it lol.

there will be more pics later today when the batteries for my camera have charged up so you can see the progress.

hi guy's, here are the pics as i promised. the 1st 2 pics are the of the widow #1, the disscolouration seems to be going away now and its looking healthy again and growing fine. i have just noticed that there is a root showing in the bottom of the pot its in so i'll have to get it re-potted soon. i'll probably use a gallon pot next and then bigger again for flowering stage. pic 3 is the rhino and pic 4 is the widow #2, they are both doing fine in the high humidity. these are 5 days from the start of germ when i popped them in a cup of distilled water. widow #1 is 13 days since it popped out of the cube and 6 days since i transplanted it into soil.

i ordered 2 packs of seeds 3 weeks ago and they were delivered 2 days later, very fast service, today i got the same order lol i think the company messed up somewhere ( im not mentioning the company ). originally i ordered 1x white widow & 1x white rhino, now i have 2 of each lol 20 seeds of each strain so you know what i'll be growing for a while. i got a letter in with the seeds saying that they were sorry for the delay in sending out my order because they had sold out of the rhino and had to order more. im a happy chap and have saved some money lol.

good to know theres still some luck on your side, even if the hydro grow never saw any of that luck.

Not to jinx it or anything, but i bet these ones are going to grow great and put out lots of bud.

Good luck with your second attempt man. I've been having problems throughout my grow so I know it sucks to watch your efforts die and crumble.

best of luck though!
