Hydro (Advanced Nutrients) vs Soil (Fox Farms) ~ Fucking Incredible

I don't have any pics, but the temps are down to 75 degrees now instead of 95+ degrees so the tent was certainly a good purchase. The soil plants still look really good and healthy, I don't even remember how far along they are in 12/12. They haven't shown any signs of hunger so I haven't fed at all yet. I'm going away for a week and I'm having someone else water them, so I figure they'll need to water once or twice while I'm gone and I'll give them their first feed when I get back. Light feeding at that, they really don't look hungry one bit.

I'm going to go ahead and finish out this grow under my other thread. I don't want to update in two places and this is irrelevant now. I'll do a side by side grow again very soon with a different strain and in this nice and proper 8x4 tent. Now that everything is all dialed in I'll be able to get a much more fair comparison.

Laser, how many lights are you using in your 8x4 tent. Ive got one on the way as well. I was thinking two 600w would suffice. What do you think?

I have to say I'm quite saddened by the hydro side, I've neglected this entire grow because my life has become incredibly busy and I didn't know what to do about the conditions, didn't know if this grow was going to even continue, but now that it's back on track I'll give it the care it deserves. I will flush the reservoir tomorrow and get these plants some food! They are starving to death and I feel like a shithead, but in all honesty it does give me SOME information, I've neglected the soil plants just the same. I haven't had to do shit with them and they are growing like, well, weeds.

So as far as which is easier...definitely soil. I've never done shit with the soil plants really, just planted them and watered them.

Anyway, It's been a retardedly long night and a retardedly difficult process as I did it all in one night. I had to move all of the shit out of the room completely to have room to build the tent and had to move the 4x4 tent as it wasn't in a good place, ah, I'm just glad it's over. I have to be up in 6 hours for work, but fuck it, I'm gonna smoke one more bowl and see how it goes (usually keeps me up for a little while before it knocks me out).

Yeah, soil tends to be more forgiving like that. It can keep up with a busy lifestyle, so true.

Lots to learn from this grow and you're certainly going to be better of with the next one when you have this setup in place.

Don't worry about the fuck up, man. It happens, but you may just pull things off in the end. Plants are good like that.

You made fun of my buds, but my one plant yeilded 6oz's.....so get on with your can't grow ass. You showed what you know by calling my yeild "cute little buds". You suck you egg-roll.


I'm only doing this because you lashed out in a punk manner. Your avatar prooves nothing about what you can grow...plus you can bearly see the buds.

I wouldn't say that after 2 months I got nothing. I'm out of town, but those buds should be all dried out by the time I get home in about 5-6 hours and I'll start jarring them up and I'll weigh it out.

Regardless, i haven't seen them in a almost a week so I'm excited to get back and see how they are doing.

Soil plants are still goin' strong by all accounts.

They have now been drying for 10 days. When I left 5 days ago they were still really wet so hopefully they are all done now.

That is a run of hydro FI and I have a soil one continuing on that I will update pictures of, but by the time I get home they will be asleep and I'll have to wait until 7:00pm to get some pics and even see for myself!

Alright well, the buds do look pretty fucking incredible. The problem: They are also a bit seeded. I thought I spotted a seed originally and it was the reason I decided to chop and sure enough there are quite a few seeds. Not the worst shit ever and since I smoke my own and don't sell it that part doesn't cost me, it's just annoying. The yield is a little bit lighter than I would've liked at 9 oz's, but I did chop early and the grow was a bit of a mess. I've jarred it all up and I'll get some pics of the buds when I get home. I won't have a smoke report for at least 2-3 weeks so they have at least some time to cure.

The colors are pretty cool looking I guess, although not really my thing. They are quite crystally and have lots of different colors including yellows and purples and even some more reddish areas.

The 6 soil plants continue on and I've actually just moved the info to my other thread. I'm no longer going to post in this one, I think i've said that before, but I'm a stoner.

I actually haven't smoked any of the soil stuff yet. It's finished and it looks and smells good. I'm just letting it cure for awhile as the hydro stuff has had a good chance to cure. It's probably good to go now and I'll actually give it a rip tonight! I'll let you guys know how it turned out.

Haha, I forgot to smoke the new shit again. I swear tomorrow night (I'm already ripped, that would take away from it for me). Tomorrow is new bud day, from the time I wake up until I go to sleep I'll be on the new shit.

Homegrownboy....She looks really good. Doesn't look like any of the pheno's that I had. Looks like a pheno I would've like a lot more, did you get a nanners or hermies?

Nope...no hermies...or nannres??

She is a bit different looking...i love her purple and blue hues, and WOW...what a smoke...pure couch lock in about 5 min of smoking it. I did do cold treatment...which gave her the pretty colours, and if your wondering i am using a 1000W HPS.
