i am growing in a closet.
i have a tuberware bucket with 4 -5 inch net pots with groton. i have a small pump with a manifold that has holes drilled in it and it sprays up and its like a carwash in there.. anyway the rots have reached down and are going into teh water in the bottom. do i need to set up an air stone so they dont drowned? and if i do that maybe i will just switch over to dwc? the spraying thing is working pretty good nice fast growth and pretty happy with that . if i do switch to dwc how much air bubbles do i need/ will the plants instantly adapt to this new setting? thanks .

yes.......totally submerge the roots and get a good powerful airstone in there.

Kinda depends on how big your container is but if it is the typical 8 gallon container 2 14 inch airstones oughta do ya. Put your hand in the res about where the net pots would be hanging with the lid on. If you can feel the bubbles popping on your hands, you have enough bubbles.

kinda sucks i built the bad ass aerocloning setup now they are too big and dragging their feet in the water. how big of a pump will do the 2 14 inch stones? i love the hydroponics but dag i hate changing the setup/ even thought about flood and drain maybe using that promix stuff. i just cant seem to make upmy mind on what will be easiest. long term setup .

again it kinda depends on your res but I have an 8 gallon and I use 2 pumps designed for 13 gallon aquariums. I run one on each airstone.
