Hydro Reservoir Level Indicator with pics.

Hey there fellow hydro fans. Just thought I'd show how I monitor my res. levels without having to pop the lid off and look. I'm sure plenty of you have already seen something like this(matter of fact, there may already be a similar thread)...but if I can help just 1 person, then well, thats all that matters.
It is very simple to make...heres how I did it. I got a small 90 degree elbow fitting at the local hardware shop and the correct clear tubing to go on it. Then I drilled a hole that allowed the fitting to "fit" snugg. Then I siliconed around the fitting on the inside of the res. and the outside with silicone made for bathroom stuff. After it was dried I had to add specific amounts of water, so my indicator would be accurate....in my case it was a three gallon bucket. After I poured in each buckets water I made a line with a sharpie on the tubing...and wrote the coresponding amount on the res next to it. And thats pretty much it....very easy to do, yet it makes things so much easier.

Very good idea bud...I think I'll start the search for one at the house. It would be the "cherry" on my sundae!
