k so my veg room is 5x5 im using 4x3 of it under a 400MHfor moms.. i wanna incorperate a shelf with the extra space for veging 60 plants... it will be a 4 tere shelf with a t5, floros, or cfls(undicded) on the underside of each of each shelf... the bottom shelf will contain an " ez cloner 60" and each other shelf will have 15 plant on each shelve for a total of 60 plants to veg for 2 weeks, then into my ebb anf flow table... my question is how can i veg these gals by keeping it cheep and ez to transport to the table when they r ready??? i cant drip feed it for thats too many feeder lines, pumps and such to by to buy... nor can i flood it as the shelves will be 2x2(or so) and the have to be transported( not sure of how the roots would intertwine and cause damage when taking them out)... or would i be better to use my whole 5x5 and 400MH area for my moms and veging clones and if so how could i feed them??? any ideas???

keep them under a humidity dome and water them one time a day.
aside from that you'll have to buy a pump and timer to do some kind of aero setup.

how long will you veg? how big is the shelf? with 15 plants per shelf you could just set them far enough apart so that the roots don't tangle

thnx for the reply... the shelf will be 2x2x 1.5 ft... i will be vegging them for 2 weeks.. when u say keepem undr a dome and feed once a day do u mean like dump the nute soulution on the 1inch cubes they r in?? will that work for 2 weeks to get a bit of growth on them??

if you could find some shallow rubbermaid containers that are about 1' x 2' or less and make small DWC systems, and you could put two of them on each shelf. You could probably get 8 sites out of each container. I would put them in 2" net cups, with a rockwool cube, and transfer that cup directly in to the larger cups you're using in the Ebb n flo table ( hydroton, cup, and all). You could either get a medium sized pump for each set of containers, or 1 big pump with a lot of T joints. I'd go with 1 pump for ever 2 containers, and one T connector to split the hosing between to two. You could make that work, and look really clean if you could drill holes to route the hosing through the back of the shelf. I'd only use about 400 to 600 ppm on those plants while they're on the shelf, and the graduate your levels when you transfer to the table.

great idea but im wondering how much 300 net pots will cost as i will have near that many in my total system... my plan is to use four, 4x4 table with 50-60 in each plus the veggers...(about 250-300 plants in hydro) and thats a main reason i want to build the veg station, so it can get used to the nutes b4 they go in the system more so then growth(but growth is good too... any DIY ideas for cheep net cups???

you could also use neoprene collars. I think they're cheaper, and you could actually make them if you wanted. That will make it a little more difficult to transfer, but you could also reuse them after those plants leave the buckets, and use less net pots. You could get them use to higher levels. What strain are you growing. try different levels in each bucket to see what they can take without burning, and then once you have that figured out, make the adjustment. It's going to take a second to get everything exactly how you want it.

sry.. im jumpin around a bit myself... rite now im using cubes but an EZcloner is on the way... if i like it i will continue to use the ez cloner... so ya i guess they could go rite from there to the DWC vegging units, in the same plug... then into the table... do i keep the neoprene disk on in the flood table aswell or take em off when exiting the DWC??? and if i dont like the EZ cloner then i will be useing cubes so the the whole cube will go in the DWC vegger and then into the table.... thnx alot for ur patients and helping me out here... much appreciated... rep for ur work!

how shalow can i get away with??? is the root ball in the water its self or do they hang around the top and get bubbled on.. i ask cuz i have sum shalow tubs about 8 inchs... would that work???

If you use the cubes, you're don't NEED the cups, but I would have them. At the size those plants will probably be, the cubes sitting under the collars will be fine. you will probably want the net pots for the table. an EZ clone uses collars if I'm not mistaken, so you could tranfer them out of that, into the DWC with collars, and then in to the table with net pots with hydroton. It would be cheaper in the long run than using cube through the whole process, but cubes are easy to deal with.

at first they will be hanging above it getting bubbled on, and then they will grow down in to the basin while getting bubbled on, haha
