Hydro Water & Filtration

I'm starting to intrigue my self with the thought of a R.O system, picking up distilled water every week has started to be a pain in the neck.

I'm curious to know what R.O system other people are using. I was looking at Home Depot and the two permanent mounted systems they have from G.E are fairly close to price as to what the hydro store has to offer.

I see that Hydrologic is one of the brands that you see talk about.

I want to bump this again.. I'm still so impressed with the water quality out of this system. Still almost a 0 EC with this filter, the water taste so good!

Wow, you saved one dollar buying from the East Coast versus the Midwest. Hopefully you live closer to the person you made the purchase from or the $1 will have been eatten up in shipping. Got the same thing though. Four clear 10" housings, same filters same RO membrane, same fittings and saddle valve. A few cosmetic differences. Both of the two sellers are reef keepers who set up a side business selling supplies to fellow reef keepers at more reasonable prices than pet stores or online pet stores. There over head is low as they operate out of their homes. They both sell quality products at reasonale prices. The mj growers need people like them so we are not paying for expensoive toys, big homes and early retiren ments for people like those from AN, GH, and Botanicare etc.

If and when you can the DI cartridge lasts longer if you use two in a series. #1 then #2. When you remove $1 replace it with the #2 cartridge and put the new one in the #2 housing. Just keep doing that as the color indicator in the second filter will say it is ready to be changed before it actually needs changing. You will use about half as many cartridges doingg the double cartridge routine. In all reality though, you don't need your water to be as pure as what it is after running through the DI cartridge. The Ro filter is adequate by itself. The cartridges resins can be recharged. If you want to know how just let me know and I will post directions.
