i love my secret jardin dark room.

hydro huts are known to poison plants!
I just built a box, 2x4x4, to save money immediatly. But I love the dark room. However it doesn't have a big lock on it like my wooden box which cost me a whole lot less to build. Building is the best way to do it. Put your mentality on pot, to you mentality on grow boxes. You grow, cause to start wether you sell or not, you are not going to buy from someone else. Well same idea, you don't have to mass produce boxes, but why buy from someone else. Do the math on building one, you maybe change your mind on the tent. Though I do love the dark room. And portability is something I dont have. And my wood box is heavy. Lot to think bout. I'll check in later and see your decision.

Thanks, it is easy to get wrapped around name brands, warranties but your right, I gro b/c I seek independence (ie. not having to buy shit from other ppl).... I am considermaking a grow room out of pvc, what about that...?

Also i am looking for a 4x4 cab i could build this out of wood but it would be challenging squeezing that through a 2.5 foot doorway, I also like the idea that if I felt uneasy about growing for any reason grow tents are easy to disassimble and store....

Oh yea and about the HH poisioning plants i read about some chemical they used for the reflective white paint on the inside of the rooms that had adverse effects on plants but if im not mistaken the company has addressed the problem and made public statements in reguards to the issue

na price isn't the same. Thats a definate. But portability against price means a lot too. But then again, if you don't need portability. You don't need to worry about a tent bag. Don't just see the structure, look into the venting and all of that. You can have a wood box vented for the price of the tent. Before venting and dropping in what else you need.

I say go with the Jardin and get to growing... no construction needed...
If you have the money for the Jardin, then the Vent system, then the lighting go ahead and go for it. I think Secret Jardin, is amazing. And if it is truly Thermal Reflective, then it is perfect for the Secret Garden. But there is also no security, just a zipper.

I dont know about you but my time is money, so lets say it took me an hour or 2 to build LB's room. Well thats another $50 in my case, so it is the same price to me.

.... if you are thinking about security you should secure your whole house not just your "grow room". Personally i dont have to worry about security but if i did i know the Jardin wouldn't be on my list. I would have dead-blots and everything else so no one would have the chance to get the zipper........

Dude I was talkin about building the wood box would be much cheaper. And yeah if it cost the same to build a secret Jardin hell yeah, buy it. I may still go with the 311 311 67 dark room later on down the line as my flowering box.

Just for now I am starting this new round in a 2 wide 4 long 4 high. I may keep it my veg box since I geared it around the 4 ft. floros I have.

It will also do fine as a flowering box since I planed on an SOG grow. But I may want some big girls going at the same time. I have to figure it out to the t.

Dude you're right. But I have a land lord, so you never know. If I owned I wouldn't worry about security. And I still may go with a dark room down the line. But on a budget, I did what I had to do.

buy an exact copy of the door you have your cab in, deadbolt it and replace and put the old door back on when you have to move! not rocket science!

That sucks LB. I got everything done except for holes in a day. But I was pretty sure on what I was building, and it is a pretty simple box. Literally a box, which when the door closes becomes a sealed enclosure. I still have to cut the holes, about to go to work now.

Bout the security thing, you still have to cut the deadbolt hole. But I'm not to worried, atleast not with my box. I am settled over here.

I will probably end up with buying a Jardin, is their any grow rooms w/ a divider? like so you could have a veg and flowering room in like a 8x4 or simular size...?
