The Hydrolock looks like a pretty cool system. I like the idea of a spray over a drip if it doesn't clog easily.

That depends how long u veg for and how often u water. Mine have 0 roots on a surface and i water every other day. I let coco dry out a bit on top

I don't think the veg length matters too much. You can get wild amounts of roots in a week. But yeah, letting the surface dry will prevent breaching. If they were a 1/2" smaller I might try them on my rockwool slabs. I have a Growtek setup that the cones would probably work with well. They are pretty cheap too.

The site says "actual diameter is 6.5 inches." I might still be able to pull it off because I use Dutch leach trays that are long and fairly flexible.

I could just buy some misters and install them in a small plastic box that I could sit on top of the slabs. Right now I have water rings sitting on them. Hmm. I could probably flip over a second leach tray to use as a big lid and completely seal in the rockwool. That might be the move. The misters would also spray the 4" cubes that sit on top of the slabs if they were inside. This might be the perfect setup.

Can I trouble you for a pic of these trays and slabs etc., that you are running? I think I can imagine what you're saying, but I want to visualize it better if I may.

I realized I was thinking out loud and my setup doesn't have much to do with the topic. But this is my setup. The rings are between the 4" cubes.E83E02F6-DE06-4201-91EC-7A560C54E4B9.jpegE67334D6-A357-469E-9C29-917109C818FD.jpegB4247A35-EF5D-4089-B134-2EBA07CBAC8B.jpeg
