Hydroponic business, what do you think??

i've been reading about hydroponic farming for growing various types of crops and i am actually considering to start with a hydro business, i'm in a country where theres very litle knowledge if any about hydro so that has pros and cons for a new hydro investment.
i am wondering where to start, i'm interested in lettuce production the most since it can produce lettuce very efficiently but it's quite risky since lettuce is abundant and cheap so i worry i wouldnt market them successfully, same thing applies for tomatoes and all common crops. so i was also thinking about hydroponic houseplants with decorative hydro buckets and soilless medium, this one is less risky in my market since the profit per unit is much higher and requires less investment in land but brings less return all in all because the volume of sales is small than if i were successfully growing and marketing food which has a very high turnover. i am also considering opening a hydro store my main worry is that i dont have enough people who know about hydro marijuana but there are so many people who smoke MJ, and believe it or not, there are NO hydro shops at all, not 1!!!
so what do you guys know about hydro farming? hydroponic houseplants? hydro shops? in terms of risk and profits? any help/tips would be great!

I live in an area where my closest hydro store is over an hour away and he is a rip off,so most of my supplys come from internet orders and sometimes shipping is high,I have thought of the same thing but my problem is that if I were to open a shop it would most likely be under the microscope by leo,and I dont want to put up with that, but when they pass the laws for med use you can bet your ass I will have a legal shop,as far as growing crops I thought about that to,I would try to grow something that you can do 2 things with, for example I thought that strawberrys would be a good crop because you can allways make preserves with what you cant sell and that would keep for a longer period of time wich would give you more time to sell your product.its hard to get a good costomers and big stores to take interist in a small guy.any busisness is a risk some are willing to take and some are not.I would start small with a few differant things and see where it goes from there,as far as profit margines that all depends on if you can get your supplys stocked for a very low start up cost with the promise of pushing there goods, its a rat race out there, start small and use your head and you might just make it the best of luck to you man hope it works out
