how much for all this shit? I'm personally a fan of HID lighting. I wouldn't buy anything that didn't come with HID lights...but that's me. Some people can't have these types of lights for their grow room, and that is very understandable. If this suits your needs, and the price is reasonable and you know how to use all the equipment, then go for it, i'd say...

ya man dont do it,

all you need to grow a pound every 2 months is a 600watt hPS light for like $200

then maybe aonther $200 - $300 for the rest of the stuff

but still you would get the stuff you need

that guy is just selling fouresent lights which are only good for veging when they are real small

to be honest with you i dont think its worth it, heres the run down, those lights bought new are pricey, they are flouros, for 250$ you get a digital 600w with air cooled hood, for $150 you can get a 400w from HTG which will blow away the floros, you can get lights from lowes for dirt cheap if you want floros, the PH up/down are $11 each, Grow big and tiger bloom are 14$ each, pumps depending on size are $25 each the tubs can be replaced with $15 rubbermades, that PH51 goes for $50-75...the cha ching beasties and sesame are 25-35$ each..the clone gel root sim and clearex are really not needed but worth $20 each max, what im getting at is i know its easier to not have to go crazy with a shopping list but for the same money you get new equipment and the products that you want, not the shit that this guy needs to seel cus his mother found his closet setup, happy new year bro and good luck

Really depends on what he's asking for all of it. Sounds a bit pricey and not worth it to me. My entire hydro setups generally cost less than $200/piece and then I just need lights and fans. 600w lights and fans w/ reflectors cost me about $550/ea so a total of $750 or so for a setup that can grab me ~1lb including the pumps, tray reservoir, lights and all.

Paying $1000 or even $500 for a flouro setup based setup will leave you unhappy for sure. I use the same 6 bulb T5HO light fixture for veg and I LOOOOOOOOOOVE it, but if I had to CHOOSE instead of buying everything I want, I would just have my HPS'. Can't get by without them, where I only like the floro's, don't HAVE to have them to make it work.

I am looking to buy this 8 bulb 54 watt t5 fixture including bulbs for about 160 from econo light. I want it for vegging a few plants. It is almsot 40000 lumens. I have seen guys flower nice with huge t5s like the 8 bulb 4 footer. Little heat. Either that or a 400 watt for my veg tent for about 80 on craigs list. About the same thing. If yu do it right.

54w T5HO's don't put out "little heat", they put out about as much heat as at least a 400w HPS. They just distribute that heat across the surface area of the bulbs. The inability to air cool a T5HO light actually makes it kind of a pain in the ass to keep them cool. They don't burn the plants like HPS, but they raise the ambient temp in a closed space pretty damn quick.

I've never flowered with them, but man they sure do a bang-up job in veg.

+ reps lasrbrn. I have only used hids too veg and now am sold on using my 400 to veg instead of switching to t5s. I love winter. I barely have to cool a 600 watt MH I am using for veg right now.

edit: I got to spread it around. PS. VICTORVICIOUS used hids. I dont know if he is still around. He swore by them.
