hydroponics or aquaponics?

im going to build my own flood and drain system soon and im just wondering why do people go hydro when aqua is easier and less costy and healthier? :-/

It is hard to have enough space for the amount of fish you need to keep the plants fed. Plus I like the bud would not taste very good. I dont think you could add sweets to the water fish might not like that.

There are probably tons of reasons this type of growing system is not used by marijuana growers, what they are I have no idea as I use soil. Every single aquaponics thread I've read on all the marijuana sites are incomplete with very little to no info on results. If you have experience with this type of system please post pictures and results.
