I went to the local Hydroponics shop seeing as I'm a complete nub to growing (If you haven't seen some of my previous posts)
But I'm learning more daily with a lot of help from other members (hugs).
Asked a few questions without completely letting on to what my intentions were.

So I'd like to bring my more specific questions to the forums (lucky you guys). I really didn't want to get any more specific then I had to and throwing out questions about HPS fixtures and nutrients etc...

He showed me a rectangle dual potting setting. The pots being connected to the box and central "hub" The two pot bottoms were made of a screen and were connected by a non mechanical "self regulating" system. The system is non digital made up of plastic and tubing using some sort of bobber mechinisism (I think) and downward force to regulate the flow.

The unit:
22" L
7" W
8" H
The pots are 9" Diameter and 7" Deep.

This then connects to a reservoir (which isn't provided) via tubing (which also isn't provided) located above the growing area. This system looks like it is meant to connect to several others.

First of all does anyone know what kind of system is called? I've learned about: Bubbler, Drip, Bucket, Muti-Flow, Water Culture and Ebb and Flow systems. But the only thing I can compare it to is a Multi-Flow. I was under the influence that Multi-Flow uses a drainage system so I'm kinda confused.

So I hope someone is familiar with these or at least knows more then myself.
***:hug:Much love to Roseman for earlier help:hug:***

Other then being filled with some media-base would this system completly fill the buckets with water/nutrients? Or does the regulator keep it to the bottom near the screen? And if that is the case does that mean that only plants with roots extending close to the bottom can be incerted?

Would this system supply enough O2 to the plants? Or would/should an airstone be used?

After discussions I decide to purchase this Hydroponics System I understand that a small resivior is probabely needed something along a 5-10 gallon size I'd imagine. So what kind of fresh water/nutrients

Also, could you go directly into these pots with Rockwool using seedlings (matured enough) and clones? Or are these pots something intended to be used for "Momma" sized flowering plants?

I liked the idea of the convience of maintance with these and see what anyone had to say about them. Does anyone see potential in this?

They retailed for 50.00 each Unit.
So I don't know if it's considered a great investment or just a waste of money considering the extra items needed to use them.
