I can honestly say I know why people are addicted to dxm

Its just the best. Not even joking. Last night I was calling dxm the 'cheat code' lol which I mean I can see how that could be seen the wrong way, but no. I really for some reason feel natural highs when I take it and I feel like a little kid I can sit in weird positions again and talk about whatever teh hell I want and I'm interested in everything and don't secod think anyting.. Completely not paranoid.. And its a cheap habit... I really am feelin this stuff. Is it really that unhealthy if I would maybe start extracting it and take like 200-300mg daily?

I really don't know if I'm made for it or not. But I seriously am gonna try to start taking 30 - 100mg doses every morning obvioulsy at a VERY minimal dose because I think whatever brain receptor this medicine hits doesn't work right naturally in my brain. That my conclusion last night, because right now I'm not tripping and I feel 'like I'm supposed to feel'. Like it completely brought back all my natural highs, and I wanna go out and do things.. When I'm not on dxm I am just a lazy bump on a log, and won't do anything and I'm depressed.. Weed helps but makes me too paranoid.. I kinda feel like dxm is really helping make me happier. the only problem is it dumbed me down a bit from last night, but with low doses that doesn't happen.. But do you know anything about it killing brain cells or anything? I actually need to do some homework before I just start taking even really small doses every morning.. I really think this helps me get an extra umph that I didnt have before..

NMDA antagnostics have shown to cause Olney's Lesions (holes in the brain) after daily recreational use for an extended period of time if I'm not mistaken...

Me. :) Don't take cough medicine recreationally. Pure DXM, was once thought to cause Olney's lesions when administered intravenously, however I believe that was proven incorrect. Like all NMDA agonists, they are addictive. So don't take it every day.

the only drug that u can take everyday is weed. sounds like you need somthing specific to motivate or make u happy. try sour diesel or fruit of the gods, if that dont intrige u to do somthing then get rich fast. mo tussin dont fix everything.

didnt say the only drug u can take is weed. said only drug u can take everyday, implying health concerns from long term abuse.

Hmm...so are we talking about dextromethorphan here? As in NyQuil? That seems a little crazy to take for fun...I take some if I can't sleep at night....but can't imagine taking any and then trying to stay awake....I also don't see any sense in deciding to become hooked on something...no matter how cheap it is...odd to say the least.

How about oxygen? It's a euphoriant like Ecstasy. Smoking a plant everyday is also pretty stupid and has long term health concerns. Saying you can do a drug everyday is an oxymoron.

Correct indeed, except its a paradox rather than an Oxymoron. I think its more accurate to say paradox because we draw a line about the definition of a drug - the classifications of drugs is obviously not simple. But yes, the original statement is indeed faulty - i drink tea and coffee and herbal teas everyday and those have many different active ingredients and vitamins which in varying quantities could have psycho-active effects for example. It all boils down to how pedantic you want to be about what the word drug denotes.

And, in reference to DXM, Personally it seems the people i have encountered who get addicted to it are those that were never exposed to any of the more popular and well known drugs to be taking regularly - including weed, acid, shrooms etc... The person who i know who is most addicted, has a teenage life almost completely abscense of it and takes DXM powder regularly a few times every week - so to say its defintely not done him good. But remember, this is not representative of the population and there are individual difference. But im sure anecdotes from people can help you edify.

Peace x

Spouting more government drug war propaganda isn't going to help your case. I already said it's addictive. Being addicted to something is never healthy. My better option is to take pure DXM recreationally not habitually.

mdma (holes in brain).
This was already discussed... NMDA antagnostics are the only drugs slightly proven to be linked to Olney's Lesions "holes in brain". Methylenedioxymethamphetamine is slightly neurotoxic to serotonin but has never been proven to cause any type of "holes in the brain" though if I'm not mistaken marijuana acts on both dopamine and serotonin receptors along with a wide variety of others...

You are not mistaken sir. :D Marijuana is a polydrug of sorts. It acts on the part of your brain that controls all of them! :)
