Expert LEGAL opinion from a patriot and former federal prosecutor, just so some know what the law and some who enforce it think about this. This guy might be in the DOJ next year, if you win.

Justice for George Floyd? Legal Update on Case Status

Prosecutors file murder and manslaughter charges against one police officer in connection with the homicide of George Floyd. What to look for next in the investigation.
I didn't watch the video or know the people involved but if they are a former federal prosecutor, they probably served under administrations other than Trump - perhaps even Obama! So I don't have to listen to them.

Maybe oprah or some other wealthy African American (s) could form and fund an organisation or work with and existing one to do something about the issue of racism in America. One idea might be to distribute a million discrete body cams to record interaction with others from the perspective of the wearer, these could supplement the cell phones already in use, but be more discrete and automatic. If you ordered up a million from China they would be cheap a piece and customised too. Let's say you'd base a TV show around it and youtube channel to bring awareness to the horrific social cost, a small fraction of which we witness now a days.

The british navy used to hang sailors from the yardarm and leave them there as an example to other sailors, while in the fleet was at anchorage in the 19th century, until people started to photograph it and it caused outrage and consequently change. Laws need to be enacted and changed, good governments elected, but the people must change too and evolve to the reality around them, education and social pressure are required too.

He makes the case for murder and is one of the best you're likely to have at the DOJ next year. They might charge these cops with lesser crimes and convict them before guys like this get their hands on them. There are thousands of outraged legal eagles like this guy who will fill the DOJ if Joe wins and he won't interfere in justice at all, sets a bad example and is not proper. The people who he appoints however are a different matter, many think of the DOJ as a temple of justice and want heads, Bill Barr's in particular.

so did vlad the impaler..in merry old england a pretty common practice at tower bridge entrance, too.

the human condition is so uncivilized and has been toward fellow humans since dawn of man- the outrage grows but not faster than the desire to line their pockets.

She's finished as a nominee for VP, at the very least.
Totally incompetent
Because of that interview? I don't get how you got that from it. Sounds like it was the AG after her that had dealt with the investigation for this murderer cop, and it is an internet disinformation hit on her trying to make it seem like it is her fault.

But I do think this could show how Val Demmings would be a really good VP. She worked her way up form being a street cop to captain, to a member of congress. It is nice Biden can't really go wrong with the great choices he has for VP. It just sucks that no matter what, they will get trolled, and smeared to look like whatever it is the Trump militarized political trolling campaign (foreign and domestic) can get away with.

You mean by the little white power fucktards that are blending in with the crowds to pull shit to make these peaceful protests look violent?
We haven’t seen any white power types at the protests. The people making these protests look violent, at least in Minnesota, are from out of state. Every person arrested here last night was from a different state than Minnesota.

Fair enough, not necessarily just white power type, but incel, q, whoever it is that is being targeted by whatever stupid stuff they are into that gets them all full of hate and willing to smear a protest about police brutality towards minorities and every other citizen into being called a 'riot'.

The thing with the white guys who are dicks, they can blend in like regular people, bust shit up and blend right back into the crowd.

This guy with a mohawk and bro beard just screams to be profiled.

Bottom Right corner looks like a little incel-cell to me.

All of the coverage I saw anytime there was actual violence going on, I saw white guys doing it for the most part.

I am willing to admit it is way too early to know for sure, but this is just the type of opportunities that the Russians were exploiting in since at least 2014.

As much as I like her, Demmings might serve best where she is grilling people in the house. I hate to say it, but I figure Joe should pander to these morons a bit and choose someone white for strategic reasons alone. He will want to cleave off as much of Trump's base as possible, once many start at the top of a ballot they choose the same side right to the bottom It will bring back echoes of Obama for too many of these morons and might reignite them. Joe doesn't need an African American VP, he has the black vote for the most part and besides, Joe owes them, but most importantly though, they have the democratic party and Joe by the balls. My opinion is merely strategic, one to maximise votes for Joe and congress, there are many good female candidates and some are black, but this is a time of survival, not of symbolism and Ideals, pragmatism must rule the day, what wins the most. Use their prejudice against them, as the republicans do.

That she is black is nice, but I meant because she will have the most credibility in talking about the needed reforms in policing our different communities, and she is from the south.

This is not about Biden 'owing' anyone, that line of logic sounds too close to what the progressive pushes. Biden knows the importance of the black communities and has always been looking out for them, there is no way he was not going to surround himself with very intelligent women of all colors either. This is not about pandering, this is about having someone that can step up and take on the hard conversations that need to take place.

I really like Warren as the VP, but today in the aftermath of the last few nights, Demmings seems like a great pic for VP to me. I am happy that this is something that no matter who he chooses Biden wins for many different reasons depending on who his committee puts in front of him.

Put in its simplest terms, the power of black people in the democratic party will be similar to that of the republican base, they will have real power and influence and a strong voice. No promises will do, nor will a token black candidate, real change in law and policy is required and they will get it, with a big enough majority and mandate.

It used to be there were blue dog democrats, hold overs from the old days for the most part, back in the 90's there was not too much difference between the parties, both pandered to the middle ground and status quo of racism that maintained political stability, both were heavily financed by the rich. That's where a lot of there's no difference between them comes from and gridlock was useful to the wealthy, it kept a lid on change. That all started to change in 2008 and the financial crises ripped the scab off the system and pissed a lot of people off, ruining many lives, then the tea party reaction and congressional gridlock to make sure Obama couldn't get anything done.

Now the situation is much different and the parties more polarized, the good people left the GOP and it became a racist organisation, poisoned from with in and out of responsible control. Donald swept them off their feet immediately and has owned them ever since, he will continue to own them until he is put in prison or dies.

Do cops take steroids?
Yep lots do and are into fitness, roid rage is not uncommon, but this was a cold deliberate act of merciless murder that took place over a very long time in full public view with a man begging for his life, it was disgusting to decent people everywhere. Racism was the cause, the victim was dehumanized long before the murder, he was the "other" and some watching were just delighted, as was Trump, who most likely savored it.

When I was in the military very few volunteered. You had a mix. We called the military types heroes. Some love action. Loved death. The people I've known in the volunteer fireman circles are heroes as well. Not a bad thing for certain situations. Some are wired for god, guns and country. The sad reality is we live on a little blue rock. Most can't understand that reality. I don't mind if they mess up their world. Why mess up others?

How do you think a gold brick like Donald would do in Nam? As an enlisted man, with his skill sets, he be fit for cannon fodder only, he'd be permanently walking point in my squad. He would have never have made it through officer training or even the selection and application process and there would not have been enough money to buy him a commission. He might have bribed someone though, to assign him a safe job in the back in supply ripping off Uncle Sam in the process. Donald does not have two clues to rub together and would have ended up training with McNamara's morons and suffered a similar fate, no forrest Gump there, Forrest was a good man, not smart, but an alright guy.

I went to a riot in my1991 in Mount Pleasant, DC. And African American cop shot a Salvadorian man at a Cinco de Mayo celebration. I forget the exact date - think it was late Spring. It was very clear that the majority of people there were from other neighborhoods who had come specifically to riot and loot.

This kind of thing gives riots a bad name.
