i dont even know what to title this

As long as your mistake is a learning experience and doesn't happen again then there's nothing to feel stupid about. I have a pretty long list of boo-boos myself. :)

Should get as much of the damaged roots out as you can and dose heavily with peroxide for a while to kill the bad shit off or it will be back. I used 35% food grade with my DWCs.

Any idea what your nute temps are? 65 - 68F is best to prevent rot and once I made a DIY chiller out of a water cooler I never needed peroxide in the tubs again.

:peace:
ill buy some proxied today my good sir I'm not really sure the average temp for my nutes are but in my tent it average is about 75.6 with humidity between 39 and 50 I don't have a humidifier yet so yea lol

You should do a nute change and remove as much of the damaged/dead roots as you can. Nothing fancy for nutes as peroxide will eat anything organic. If you have the 35/% you want to add at least 2ml/L per day for 2 or 3 days at least. Don't get 3% drug store stuff or you'll need buckets of it.

Before I made my chiller I'd use 0.5ml/L twice a week for maintenance as my nute temps would be in the mid 70s most of the time and only had rot start a couple times out of 45-50 grows. Both times I beat it back with more peroxide and hardly bothered the plants.

Good luck with it!

Hydroguard and others are more a preventative than a cure.
I agree this fellow needs to remove the decay and use these in the future so this doesn’t happen again. You are correct this will not save OPs life. Or his plants life rather.

cannabis is resilient OP. Cut a lot of the nastiest shit off. See how it bounces back. Then remove more. You have nice roots coming out the top so you I should be ok.

Not great with metric? A tsp = 5ml, tbsp = 15ml. A liquid oz is 28ml but call it 30 for ease of measurement so a good shot glass will do. If you have a farm/pet supply somewhere you might be able to pick up a 60ml syringe and even smaller sizes which is what I use for measuring smaller amounts of liquids in the grow room. Check for some clear tubing while you're there that will fit over the nose of the syringes. Great for getting into the bottles or your rez to grab samples for pH and ppm testing. If mixing nutes keep a small glass of water on the side to suck up a bit to clean between different bottles. The strong peroxide won't hurt the plastic or plunger in the syringes either.

All sorts of measuring devices come in handy in the grow room.

I picked up syringes for measuring liquids from a local grow shop. If you have any near you it'll probably be cheaper and quicker than ordering online.
I've always been paranoid about leaving a paper trail buying grow room stuff or sketchy things like syringes online but now that pot has been legalized here in Canukistan I've been letting my guard down a bit. Plus there's a lot of stuff you just can't get at local stores. I want some syringe filters for making e-juice and other things and a milligram scale would be handy for weighing out my magic mushroom micro-doses accurately. I even used e-transfer to buy a couple orders of shrooms a couple months ago and the cops never showed up. :)

I can understand that. I definitely felt weird walking in one, even though cannabis is legal here. You're definitely right there is stuff you can only find online. There are also things local you'll pay out the ass for like soil, coco, perlite, and PLASTIC RISER STANDS. The last one in bold because online I couldn't find any without like 90% markup. Not like they are heavy.

I mostly grow in ProMix HP and there's lots locally in the spring. Plastic risers are for cloth grow bags are they not? I'm a plastic pot grower myself so have lots of those and the trays too. Been at it here for 20 years so have accumulated a shitload of stuff. Just made a deal to buy a 2x2x4' tent with 4" exhaust fan and a 1500W LED for it and a 2 speed air pump from FB Buy&Sell. Have to drive to Peace River to pick it up in a couple hours.

Have a Trimpro Unplugged trimmer I want to sell so may use the FB page tho I hate FB. CO2 controller too.

Plastic risers are for any container you don't want the runoff to stay in contact with. I run DTW coco so any runoff has to stay away from my pots.

That makes sense. Coco is hard to get and so much more money than Promix so I've been using it for 15 years or so since it became available locally. DWC was my main grow method for years and I'll probably get back to that one of these days but I'm into breeding and trying to get fem seeds going so grow lots of smaller plants in smaller pots mostly until I select the primo ones for getting some yields. Got jars of pot all over the place and don't sell it so end up with way more than I can use. Doing some more autos outside this year too. One auto that grew as a photo last year gave me almost a pound of hi-CBD pot. Have some new seeds to try this year.

I'm using ProtonVPN but I used TOR for years before buying Proton. Never did anything shady like go to pot forums without TOR. FireFox has VPN now. Not sure what they charge for it but might switch. Went to watch something on a US station and couldn't with a Canadian IP addy so deleted the cookies from that site then switched to a US IP and went and watched my video. :) Sweet.

VPN doesn't help when you're handing over your credit card # or banking info with an e-transfer but WTF eh. ;)
