and while we are talking about World Cup wtf is up with them acting like they got shot when they barely got touched. But there they Are rolling on the ground in a semi fetal position when replay clearly shows that nothing happened other than an air molecule might have hit them in the little euro-trash nut sack.

Did anyone see the NHL guy this year on the bench with pliers taking out his own tooth?

.
ya don't get a penalty for pulling ya teeth out, you do for taking a dive

It took my buddy three or four years of diligent work to get me to start watching NASCAR. I used to ask him how he could sit there and watch these guys turn left for three hours.

But, he finally wore me down. I'm now a fan. I even watch the Nationwide races on Saturday. I don't tell many people about this, though.

Today's race was boring as hell. Until the last 50 laps, then it got good. And yeah, it was great to see Tony take 2nd place.

I went to my first race last weekend, at Infineon. Scored free tickets and had a blast. Getting out of there after the race was an absolute bitch, though. Took two hours just to get out to the highway.

I know why I dont enjoy Nascar, I dont live in a trailer and Im not related in any way to my wife.

Soccer I also understand why no one cares. Aound here the only kids that play soccer are the little uncoordinated dorks that cant play a real sport. In the words of my 5 year old "Daddy, soccer is for girls"[/QUOT

I love nascar! It's full of drama and racing, and every driver has a hottie wife. And NO I don't live in a trailer And my wife isn't my sister. I also wear shoes and able to read and write! Amazing huh??!?

If youd read my post youll see i said notably except England , they love to squawk too , so its because nobody cares...thats why theres no World cup trophy or finals place for the US...I see...it couldnt be because the team isnt good enough ? Almost every player in the US team came from top filght clubs..theres gotta be a loser and a winner is the bottem line.
Like i say , dodgy ref calls are part of the game , FIFA refuse to change so Football fans accept that , people who know relatively little on the subject dont see that though.
You cant see the forest for the trees.

You are telling me the US Mens soccer team "isn't good enough." What you FAIL to UNDERSTAND is that I know that. What I am answering is the question below:

"I watched the game yesterday when USA was bounced and they showed the results from every World Cup the US was ever in and my question is why cant the US soccer team do better than getting to the 1/4 finals, I mean either do it all the way to dont do it at all. Look at Basketball and Hockey for the Olympics, every time they field the best team thats available to play and they usually come home with a medal of some sort."

Your simple "team isn't good enough" technically answers the question. But it offers no anaysis deeper than your superficial response. My reply that you find fault with; addresses a myriad of reasons that the "why can't the US soccer team do better than getting to the 1/4 finals."

Dodgy calls are "part of the game?" They absolutely are and this World Cup is all the evidence that you need to prove that beyond refute. Refs can call penalties without having to cite a player or an actual penalty; and the affected team has no recourse. Enjoy and "accept" that game as it is; it has much room for improvement.

I dont understand...why people like NASCAR. I smoked my morning breakfast and watched almost 20 laps of todays race and almost fell asleep.

World Cup......I watched the game yesterday when USA was bounced and they showed the results from every World Cup the US was ever in and my question is why cant the US soccer team do better than getting to the 1/4 finals, I mean either do it all the way to dont do it at all. Wimbledon...WTF?? Between soccer and tennis I dont know which is worse to watch or which will be the first sport to be banished from the US for lack of interest.

Like I said I am really high and thought I would share.
All i can say is "To each is own".

Why I dislike soccer.

#1 Players fake injuries to get a free kick. Nothing pissed me off more than the guy from Ghana going down intentionally, crying for about an hour, then popping back up as soon as the penalty was called. I hate players exploiting a flawed system, this goes for any sport (example: Kobe in a basketball game “creating” fouls), but it is much too common in soccer.

#2 Unfair scoring. The "we can't do anything about it" attitude pisses me off too. If I scored a goal after however many minutes of running around and the ref decided to take it away from me for no reason, and I can't stand up for myself, then I would find another sport. Baseball also has this problem (example, the perfect game that was ruined) which they call the "human element". I see this as a stubborn attempt to not adapt to current technology and trends in the sporting world. There is absolutely no reason for this.

Basically soccer has a lot of downfalls that plague other sports, but they seem to take it to extremes and it gets a little too excessive.

With that said, when I can stomach all the drama, it can be enjoyable to watch

What can i say , im a Football fan , i was brought up with it , played and spent a lifetime attending games. To me American "football" is just a bunch of unfit bullet heads throwing a pigskin and taking a break to switch entire teams on the field ...kinda dull..basketball is truly a girls game , they call it netball where im from , girls play it.
Im at a bit of a loss with your post as it makes little sense , i fail to understand what exactly ? That we both know the US football squad are cack..no..i know that. And if you reread what youve written , your question is answered. You seem to think being American is enough to expect medals and glory..doesnt work that way.

I like soccer, i'd even prefer to watch it to what you yanks call 'football', the Australian NRL is by far the best sport to watch and play. Check out these highlights:blsmoke:

USA won't be able to compete until soccer is in the same "tier" as other sports... right now our best Athletes go to Football, Basketball, and Baseball. Every other country their athletes choose soccer over everything when they are young.

Oh, and I'd much rather watch plants grow than watch soccer. Hell, I'd rather watch mold grow.
