I Got A Job At A Medical Marijuana Processing Facility

And that shit sucked. They have commercialized the process so heavily it's not fun at all. The people I met seemed great as far as coworkers go. I learned they do just enough to produce plants that meet the requirement of still alive. Some cultivation crew members voiced concerns to management only to be met with lame agreeable statements but no action. Some plants have visible pest but no real care as long as they didn't get on the flower. I didn't spend much time on the growing end of the facility as I was whisped away to processing.
In processing they had me dealing with pre rolls which is mind numbing and boring. It looked like they had shake mixed with kief for the herb to go into cones. You needed to check each joint to make sure it looked good then package each joint and box up large amonts in packaging. Off to the eighths department. They had me weigh up 3.5 grams of "Whole Flower" into jars. Whole flower is a joke. They give you a couple one gram buds and fill the rest with popcorn buds. I remember when a whole flower could be anywhere from a 7 gram bud to a one ounce bud and even heavier ones.
The work is super easy. If you love sitting in one room doing the same things over and over and over again that takes minimal brain power this may be a fit for you. I didn't get to visit the edibles or oils departments. They sounded like more of the same from some coworkers. I quit the job after one week. I couldn't handle the monotony. They make you pay for fingerprints with you will get reimbursed for after completing a certain amount of hours. I will not get my money back... I did enjoy the opportunity but not enough to stay.

I lasted a day in a half at a furniture factory in NC. Too mind numbing!
