I got giant 9 1\2-10 ft tall 10 ft wide plants in 30g smart pots, ROOTBOUND!

I got 8 plants, 2 Gelato 33's (30g's), 4 OG KUSH's(30g's), 1 Blue Cookies(45g), 1 Super Silver Haze(45g) all in smart pots. Gelato's are about 10ft wide 8 1/2 ft tall, OG's are about 7ft wide 9 ft tall, Cookies 5 ft wide 8 ft tall and Haze 3ft bt 3 ft (late starter). Live in california so it has been hot 100- 110 degrees for the last couple of weeks. I normally feed once a day in the morning 5 gallons of water PH 6.5 followed by 5 gallons of nutrients. On hot days I would have to feed twice a day or the plants would begin to wilt up by mid afternoon. I am having problems with some of the leaves turning yellow. I know I am probably rootbound well definately rootbound but these plants are way to big to be transplanted. What can I do to make sure im getting the proper nutrients to these rootbound plants besides transplant into a bigger bag? I include some pictures.

Dont transplant, just put the whole smartpot into a bigger one with more soil. The roots will grow through

Set up a res with pump on a timer to feed them 2-3 time a day. As long as they are getting sufficient water/nutes you shouldn’t have any issues.

I don’t see a need for the 5 gallons of water before feed. Just give them enough feed until there is 10-20% runoff.

How much feed a day should pkants these size be drinking?
Just set up a large reservoir, turn on the pump and record how long it takes to get 10-20% runoff out of the bottom of the pots. If it take 5 minutes, then set the pump on a timer to come on for 5 minutes 2-3x a day.

It will keep your plants well fed and make your life easier, win-win.

Thank you nukacola, so i should go back to feeding at least twice a day. That was what i was thinking but your advice just confirmed it.

Two of the OG kush's fell over the other day in a wind storm and i only saw 1/4 to 1/2 an inch of root tips sticking through the bottom.

The key to overcoming small pots is feeding more often. That's how people get 4' tall indoor plants with huge buds from small Rockwool cubes. If the plants are indeed rootbound they should be able to handle multiple feedings per day.

Also does anyone know how to get ash off of the buds? We were right next to those fires and a lot of ashes got on theView attachment 4682937 buds.
You can do a h202 rinse. I think they have instructions somewhere on this lid site, if not google got you. H202 solution(1cup per 5 gallon water I think) in the first bucket, second bucket plain water, third bucket plain water. I used that method for botrytis last year. Buds came out sparkling.

There will be burned plastic in the ash from the fires. This makes it a 50/50 on consumption. Talked my my breeder partner from Cali up here growing in the artic Finola hybrids for cbd. He was saying dispensaries can't use these because when tested the contamination will show. Just be careful when consuming.

Buy some ladybugs, those are aphids and could explode in population leaving eggs and shit all over the bud. 1000 lady bugs will eat around 50,000 aphids for like $70
Dang that is expensive... have you looked on amazon? You can get that many ladybugs for like 13 bucks :)
