Hey all,

I'm fairly new to growing and new to being a card holder as well. As such, I've spent most of my time on rollitup in the newbie section, but I've recently started branching out a bit by reading several of the threads in this section. Anyway, I joined rollitup, rather than another growing forum, because the people here just seemed really chill, laid back, and happy to share knowledge (even if phrased in a not-so-nice way). I've recently stumbled upon this Colorado patient's forum, and I am just blown away by how this little Colorado group has fostered such a sense of community. From random but Colorado-specific topics to folks discussing breeding, making their own seeds, and using genetics from decades past, you guys (and girls, of course!) just kinda rock!

Welcome to RIU, if any questions.. don't hesitate to ask. That said, make sure you check out a book or 2 on plant physiology and horticulture, read them.. read books on cannabis genetics, more reading, ask questions.... experiment, try it.. see how it goes, ask more, read.. repeat. :D

I'm going to echo, Bubba. The CO RIU folks are just amazing. I do look around RIU at information but I spend 90% of my time in this forum and I respect what everyone here says.

Hey Jus, what method are you growing with? There seem to be a lot of soil growers here, seems like the more experienced folks like soil. I am a novice too and am using hydro/aero and can recommend the books by Rosenthal and Cervantes for everything you need to know about this plant and how to grow it. Have you found a dispensary that fits?

Answers are answered here typically quicker, more informatively and without the attitude you get in the rest of the site. We tend to scare the assholes out of this section, a lot of people don't know how to handle an open community such as ours.

I'm using soil as well, Happy Frog to be specific, but more because I've heard its more foolproof than because I know what I'm doing. As for dispensaries, I don't have many options for convenience, given the part of the state I'm in, but wound up finding a local one that works. Unfortunately, I named one in Denver my caregiver (after getting bad advise about switching), so I'm waiting the 120 days to name the other and buy at member's prices. Oh well, live and learn, I suppose!

you can switch care givers everyday if you wish!

Thanks, man! You've already made fun of me a bit in the newbie forum for asking stupid questions, but I've got a thick skin. ;-) Anyway, you were my first rollitup friend, you've answered several of my questions (both on my threads and others) with great info, and your avatar pic is awesome!

Oops! just inform them, voila! new primary! i have changed twice in a day before! i was speaking of Primary initially in my response! sounds like you are finding your medicine @ member prices for now, but personally I haven't had an issue! i definitely dont advse breaking the law at any rate, but i am sure some folks that deal with this issue from a dispensary's position can clear this up!

I desperately wish that was the case with me. I went to the local one a couple days after naming the other place on the application, and that was the first I'd heard of the rule. I practically begged them to let me switch to them (beats an hour drive to save a few bucks), but they said they couldn't do anything until the 120 days were up. Anyhoo, it's on the calendar (about two weeks after my first predicted harvest date!).
