Hey guys,

I can't smoke regularly because my job requires me to take random drug tests, but when I can smoke (an example is, if I'm injured and can't work for months) I always loose weight. This time almost 20 kg in 5 months. my previous weight was 122 kg so it doesn't worry me but I'm interested to see if this happens to anyone else?

Ive been looking for the same answer for a while lol.

My metabolism gradually slows anytime i quit, it usually takes a few months before noticing it.

I was starting to think I was the only one haha.
So that means potentially weed can be made into weight loss supplements that actually work and could help alot of people successfully loose weight before resorting to an expensive operation.
That would be cool :bigjoint:

No lol That's way to excessive imo, loosing weight really isn't that hard.

If you don't eat more, A 20 min daily workout of push-ups,sit-ups,curls,pull-ups or whatever you can do will eventually kick your metabolism to the point where weight loss is inevitable, i have been doing this for years and am at my lowest weight yet strongest point in my life, if you end up trying to maintain muscle, go super easy if at all with cardio.

I think most people would be surprised at the changes your body can make with just a short workout every day, 1 month deep and most people should see some results regarding muscle tone, keep it up and your body will start stripping fat.

Smoking weed is just a bonus lol.

Cannabis can effect the metabolism in various ways. I've heard of it helping people lose weight, and helping people gain weight. I am sure both are possible... the plant tries to bring us balance where we need it.

I don't think loosing weight is that hard either, thats not what I'm saying.
Im not a person wanting an operation as I'm not even close to fat enough for one of them and I would just go on a diet like people usually would...
I was just saying it could help people in that situation, not it could help me.
I do a standard 60 minutes at least of cardio a day and I mean everyday, the reason being is i need to stay fit to be able to perform well with my job. i don't do weights as my jobs is more than enough to maintain muscle. I'll only do weights if I want to gain muscle but there's no need.
I wasn't trying to loose weight, I was eating all the snacks I could cause I was high whenever I was home lol.
I still lost 20 kg with no effort and even without the hour a day cardio until I could run again after my injury.

Some people legitimately really struggle with weight and 20 minutes a day will not change a thing.
I have a friend that has been trying to loose weight for a back surgery. He obviously cant do most exercises because of the pain but is doing the diet strictly (appaeriently) and definitely not loosing near what he should. He is also on duramine and even that isn't helping.

I agree completely with the diet, with a good diet, anybody can loose what they want. but for some people, its very slow and alot of people will loose interest if its not coming off fast enough.

I also lose weight on weed. Used to drink a lot of beer. Swapped it for weed. Lost 30 pounds. Kept it off. #winning

If I smoke daily, I don't get the munchies. My appetite is suppressed. If I take a week T break and start up again, I'll get the munchies for a few days, then back to low appetite. There are some strains that break me tho. Sour Diesel gives me the munchies, but they are easier to control in my current low appetite mode.

So if you can't lose weight on weed, maybe try smoking more weed? :bigjoint:

I wasn't directing it toward you, mybad.

was just putting a general statement for people with no medical issues, should look elsewhere for weight loss, would be crazy to see a cannabis based weight loss pill lol.

I 100% agree then. I was more meaning it for people that exhausted there options :)

Would be so cool to see some type of supplement from cannabis for weight loss tho. I might be wrong but I honestly think it can be done! :weed:

After 15 years of everyday smoking average 2g/d when I have and 1,5 g/d when I need to buy I have turned into condition when I can not eat with taste and sleep good without it. Keep my weight under 90kg when smoke. When I quit and hold it on for 5 month the longest break I have ever had then my weight rising up to 100kg even if I am eating only fruit and vegetables soups and salades every day. When I try to quit, the first two weeks are like an exorcism. This is the reason why I do not take holiday abroad too often. But I know that one time I will need to quit completely because of the health...

when you need to quit, could you still have edibles or vape it? or would you need to quit all together?
I relate to the exorcism part but probably not to your extent. I'll feel a bit depressed, extremely bored and unmotivated for a few days. Thats after 6 months of smoking 2-3g a day depending on what im doing that day.

In general I love cannabis, I love the taste, smell, how the plant appears, everything. But sometimes things happen to force you to quit. When I was young about 16yrs in one moment I have got a flash and since that, when I smoke I got a terrible cought and could not breathe in. Also my mother find it out and that was a hell on Earth for a month so I needed to quit for some time do not remember exactly. Than after for years of smoking I have eaten to much edibles, next day when I was cutting the grass in the garden I have been vommiting like a Butthead and ended up in the hospital on ICU. So another break... Another period was about terrible rush on my skin, ears, forehead, neck and arms, but it was probably also stress. Five years ago I had some problems with the law so I need to quit for two years but I fucked on it and have a luck because there were no tests. Once because of girlfriend and once because of money. What are you doing for a living? Why they test you?

That really sucks that you go through this, I hope you find something that works for you!

I'm an advanced scaffolder that works at an allumina refinery, because of the chemicals we need to use full thickness steel components in both module and tube and clip systems. My job is considered high risk and thats why I undergo regular drug tests.
