I need help with choosing a bong!

if your going to drop $500 on a bong, have you considered getting a vapo, like the volcano? I have a decent size roor that cost a little over $200, ive hardly used it these last couple years since i got my volcano. . i only use it if i want to take a hitta quitta or something. . or just feel like inhaling smoke... if you do get glass on glass get a roor or illadelph. . ive used the no name glass on glass and they are good dont get me wrong. . but in my opinion the smoke and clearing of the chamber is a lot smoother and easier with the others. .

thats why i buy roor, because they classify by thickness, ie it wont break if you drop it as many sob stories start. while a glass bong is a glass bong, i like to have an idea as to how much abuse it can handle. i didnt pay xxx dollars for a weak bong.

not to say that all other glass bongs are inferior, im just stating my reasoning for getting a roor.

How could you say all pieces are the same? You people dont know shit about bongs if you say all are the same. Its a hobby collecting pieces, each one is a piece of art. Is spending $100's on art pieces that big of a deal? shit people spend millions on useless paintings. At least I can toke theses motherfuckers. .

like a said, go to a "quality company who uses quality glass". you can feel the weight and look at the seams and judge the quality. i go thru 2 to 3 bongs a year. i'm not dealing with china glass here. :-P:weed:

anything "blown" is going to have weak spots. i love blown glass but it seems to break really easy.

again, thats your opinion. i dont collect them as art, nor do i have an interest in putting a bong on display.

yea, the colored logo represents the thickness. i wouldnt go about saying "today i wanna smoke outta thing glass" i think its more like a price range and design thing. bent glass is gonna have a lot more weak spots than straight glass. also that cheap shit from chech breaks when you grab it hard.

like you said, with any purchase, one should inform themselves about the quality of the product and the company

I dont think your dumb. Dont know where that came from. I know exactly what your saying, but in all honesty illadelph glass would be impossible to recreate. Not all nicely blown glass is quality. Venice beach doesn't cary my style of glass.

looks like to me somebody met a realy good salesperson who convinced them that illadelph is all that they are gonna need to smoke out of for the rest of their life. which even if it is the "best" right now 50 bucks says itll change to somebody else in 5 years, because they will have a better product and marketing technique. so bullshit on your face!

maybe hes referring to the blowers style, ie each piece is unique

only thing that turned me off from vapes was lack of mobility. i mean you can just pass it around, even with a whip, youre limited.

I love my double chambered rOOr, but my Illadelph with the glycerine (sp?) chamber in the middle is sick. You throw it in the freezer for about 2 hours and it stays frozen for almost 8. I like the new glass on glass Zong's too. I had a Illadelph ash-catcher for each tube but have broken all 3 and been dumping to much money in to my lights/etc. SIck of always cleaning the water!
