I need some help, new to this

This is my first outdoor grow, my plants are doing some weird things, I’ve got an indica and a sativa. My indica the main stems are turning purple and the bottom sides of the leaves are maroon as well. New growth looks great. Back story I messed up and took them from 1 gallon pots to 20+ gallon pots. The sativa seems stunted, and possibly a little burnt? They have been in this similar state for about a month. Water maybe 2x a week. I kind of feel that my soil is too compact by the type of soil? Would it be a bad idea to transplant into a different soil mix, with better drainage and more airflow?

Hey bud you are doing fine..I probly would water them more..daily..you don't need to move them again if it's good soil. You can always add some soil conditioner to lose it up a bit.

I assumed they just needed a bit to establish roots jumping pot sizes so large, and that’s why they haven’t been making moves to get bushy. Just want to see some big ladies before flower

I wouldn’t bother replanting, they overall look fine. They don’t look stunted and the coloration is probably just genetics. The fact the leaves are perky and the new growth looks good means the plant is overall doing Ok. I would fertilize though with an organic fertilizer. I’m not an organic zealot but have found that organic fertilizers tend to cause fewer burn problems.

It looks burnt its cause they need more water and some nutrients would help..and its hot.. but just pick the dead stuff off
