I need some Nutrient Advice...

Hello good people. In a nutshell...I'm setting up again, after an 18 month hiatus from growing. I've got a small room (8x8x6h), plenty of light, ventilation, co2, etc, and have had very good success with hydro, soil and perlite grows. But, being out of the loop for so long, I need some input on my next setup. I'm leaning towards hydro again and need advice regarding the best nutes. Are Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect nutes all that they purport to be or is it just hype? Has anyone used them and do they really self-adjust your Ph levels? I used Dutch Master with my last hydro grow and had acceptable results, but it's certainly a pain getting that Ph level proper and stable. What do y'all recommend? I would also enjoy hearing input on other (soil, perlite, etc.) preferences as long as we're talking indoor, under sodium (etc.) lights, since that's what I've got. Any advice would be most welcome and very much appreciated. Thanks to all.

Bro. On sum real shit. I never liked the nute line ups they have. Except the h&g coco line. But that is still exspensive. Until i came across sum veg+bloom it has everything u need in a 1 part powder and it adjusts ur ph levels. its 20 bones for a pound. Or 100 for 5lbs. I just started using it and love it all my. NEw growth is dark lush green. Im very satisfied. Hope this helps.

I've used and liked GH Flora, with cal/mag. A friend uses and likes Dyna Gro, with cal/mag. Good, inexpensive no-frills nutes. cn

Its from hydroponic research buddy. Just google it and a bunch of threads from thc farmer grasscity riu. Ull b surprised.
Like i said i was skeptical. But i bought sum for 20 bones its the cheapest nutes on the market as a one part. And all my growth is nice lush green no complaints here,
I havnt flowerdwith it but as ur plants get bigger u add more nutes( im at 1.5 grams per gallon of ro.) per gallon and that acts as a booster with the higher ppms.
They have it for hydro coco or soil. Hard water and ro. And if u send em awater sample they will make a blend specificallyfor ur water type. They seem to put alot of work into their product its cheap amd the serviceis great. Give it a try bud

You get what you pay for. If you're lucky. Go cheap and don't be surprised if you get mediocre smoke.
I'm gonna have to disagree with this one...Maybe on things like ballasts you get what you pay for, but theres a lottt of marketing involved with nutrients.

look at things like bloombastic. it's a good product, but not nearly worth what people are paying for it. Quality of your smoke is mostly going to come down to genetics and the curing/harvesting process. With nutes, it's really just about giving your plant what it needs and not fucking things up (overfeeding)

Thanks, guys, for your responses. Very much appreciated. Certainly no concensus around a certain brand or type, but I guess that's to be expected since there are so damn many products out there, and all saying that they're the best. I think you are correct, Clown Baby, in that the end result is in direct corellation to genetics mainly, and then it's a matter of learning what the girls need and giving it to them. Again, thanks to all.

Chelating minerals is the key to easy uptake of them by humans and plants.

"According to Dr. Sheldon Margen, chairman of our editorial board, there has been little research on minerals chelated with amino acids, and no evidence that chelated minerals are absorbed any faster or better than the regular kind. There's no reason to pay premium prices for chelated minerals. (Vitamins, by the way, cannot be chelated, but may be part of a daily supplement containing chelated minerals.)"

That's opposing what I believe. But as a medical professional I believe in chelation. The bonding amino acids used to chelate are friendly to pot with the Advanced Nutrients. My personal choice and may be a bad one. I have an open mind. I know I compare anything to the price of a single gram or an eighth oz.
